Looks like the second half of season 5 starts Monday afternoon. I wonder when that will be available on Netflix.

I'm watching the marathon right now...season 1 episode 2. Just watched this gem and cracked up:

Pretty sure that's earlier on in this very thread, right?

The wife and I finished the show last week. Amazing. The best TV show in the history of everdom. Thanks for the ride, Gilligan. I have spent 3 days reading this thread from the beginning to the end because I did not want to come across spoilers and wanted to come to my own conclusions. One thing is for certain, we were close to giving up the cable/sat. and going to strictly internet tv and this show has me now convinced to pull the plug. We could watch on our own time frame and still did not feel that we were missing out on the rest of the crappy network television. That being said, I had a few thoughts while reading through the thread:

It seems that I would love or hate characters on this show. I loved the characters of WW and Jesse (I didn't get caught up in being on either side or camp as most seemed to have. Rather, I just sat back and enjoyed the ride), Saul (funniest character I can remember in a show), Todd (product of nightmares), Badger (but not Skinny Pete), Mike (just a bad ass OG), Gus (perfectly ackward), Hector (loved the look on his face at the last scene) and Tuco (crazy energy). I hated Skylar (who didn't, really?), Walt Jr. (I thought he was a waste for the majority of the series), Skinny Pete (loved Badger. Skinny Pete? Not so much), the Salamanca cousins (WTF), Jane (see: Skylar), Ted (pussy) and Marie (the epitome of the type of woman that drives me crazy). The one character that I didn't love or didn't hate was Hank. I could never get a feel for Hank until the end. I loved how he went out.

I loved the thoughts and theories that were shared in this thread. The only reason I wish I had watched BB in real time would be to participate in this thread. So many times I would respond to a post in my mind to find that someone else would counter with exactly what I was thinking. Mark Grace felt like the narrator of the thread. He did a great job of linking to articles and keeping an even keel approach to the experience. JL gets a shoutout as well. He almost had a vibe of being a resident expert on BB but he was wrong on so many things until right at the end (someone should have taken his ca$h bet about Skylar dying). He did have me with his "math, bitches" comment. He pulled it together just in time for a "swish" with Bishop V! fusnik was spot on with a ton of predictions and seemed to have an eye for detail (or reviewed a sweet blog before posting in the thread). NS was another that was on point throughout. I can't count how many times I read a comment by commando and thought, huh? Almost as many times as I read a comment from clack and thought, WTF?!? phillyillydikuman = I got a kick out of Jay Santos. Early on he was watching episodes in the back ground while he was working or exercising, then he seemed to always be a step behind. Not quite as bad as scottie but a step behind nonetheless. Then he was on his game towards the end of the program even if it was to only argue with JL. And DaBrockster, why would you feel like diving in head first in the middle of season 5 would be a good way to watch this show? Who does that?

The wifey and I haven't watched The Wire, The Shield (I remember watching the first season a long time ago), the Sopranos (a few here and there) or FNL. Based on everyone's top 5 list we have decided to work on that list. We are starting on FNL since it is on Netflix. She has seen the first two seasons. I have only watched two episodes. It is weird transitioning from Todd to Landry. Any other series that you would recommend? Based on the back log of shows and how often we sit down and watch a show (maybe one every two days) we have a ton of watching to do.
                      I'm your huckleberry.

The Wire is awesome, but you can't stream it unless you buy it. Amazon has the Shield for free with Prime. The Shield has an absolutely perfect ending. The Sopranos is great TV, but most people hated the ending. I still haven't seen FNL. Do yall like drama stuff, romantic stuff, comedy, action? For example, did you ever watch Alias?

No kidding! For the new year, I plan on putting together a review on the City Creek Mall thread. Shoot, this probably the wrong thread for resolutions.

Honestly, we have watched a ton of reality tv together. I have lost the zeal I once had for the crap and we have only recently started to watch dramas, comedies, etc. The romantic crap is left for the occasional movie.
