She got about six or seven out before I commented that one shouldn't just pick out the best flavors out of the communal jar, but is obligated to nonselectively grab a bunch. You've got to take the popcorns with the watermelons. Apparently I was not serious enough in chastizing her because she sort of laughed and continued to pick out more pears.

I view this as a major breach of protocol. Agree or disagree?

At least now I know why I never see any pear Jelly Bellys.
Give me the address and I will forward all the pear Jelly Bellys that are in the bag that I have. I don't like them and I'd rather send them to you than throw them away.

I appreciate that. Please send by same day FedEx to prevent staleness.

Okey dokey. As soon as you wire me the money to do that, they'll be on their way.

        • As you can probably tell from my avatar, I am fascinated by B-17s. They have had one in the Utah area this last week or so. There are only 14 left in flying condition and 8 actually fly. Anyway, I saw it flying south the other day while I was out on my walk. It went right over my head, only 500 ft or so off the ground. I watched it till it was out of sight, maybe 10 minutes. Luckily I was walking south at the time, so it didn't interupt my walk

It is the first time I've acutally seen one flying.

I may be small, but I'm slow.

            • Faith and I have been eating at this Korean Tofu place that is pretty great. We go almost every week, and Faith really looks forward to this (I drool at the Korean BBQ next door, but quietly resign myself to the Tofu joint, because Faith is a vegetarian).

Each week we are the only two 'gringos' in the whole place. One thing I noticed about many of the Korean couples is that they sit on the same side of the table with each other leaving the other side empty. Faith and I usually sit across from each other, but we've taken up sitting next to each other, and I would like to report that it seems more intimate. Sitting side-by-side is our new standard operating procedure.

We do this as well, but we then hold conversations with the imaginary people in the chairs across from us.

every year on memorial day weekend a B-17 shows up at our local airport and offers pay for fly rides around the bay area. I swear every eyar I am going to pay for a ride, but I never have. All day on memorial day hte thing is flying around our area. I love it. I always try to imagine what it would have been like to see a squadron come over your city in box formation.
                    PLesa excuse the tpyos.

there's just something about watching a multi-engine wwii era plane lumber around that's really cool. the b-17 is really an example of ingenuity and engineering beauty. one of my favorite aircraft as well.

Speaking of truly terrifying but lumbering planes, I love the A-10 Warthog. There is a great piece of engineering.
