In a lot of depictions, the feet are overlapped so one nail could go through them. I have absolutely no clue how historically accurate this is. Maybe these depictions, like much art, were inspired by the bumper-sticker.

If, That, Then

I've noticed that* I use a lot of "ifs", "thats", and "thens" when I write. I think this comes from years of writing software. It seems to awkward to express an if without a then. Yeah, yeah - "If/Then" is VB syntax and I generally don't write VB code but I'm very prone to think in an "if/then" manner.

I think it makes my writing awkward and ponderous but I'm too lazy to go back and edit stuff.

I got in an argument one time during a discussion with a guy who insisted that there were only 3 nails, and that it was blasphemy to think any of them went through the wrists.

Anyone know how the Romans actually did it? The wrists would certainly be a better place to do it, but if that's the case, why also go through the hands? The way it was explained in the temple made it sound like they did it through the hands and only added the ones in the wrists when they realized the hands weren't going to hold, as if they'd never done it before.

None that I know of. The "that" is the stuff in between the if and the then.

Does anyone else think that Brad Garrett's 7-Up commercial with him sitting at an outdoor cafe, showing off his 7-UP for the paparazzi is a bit ridiculous.

I don't believe, for a second, that Brad Garrett has any paparazzi following him.
