It's always fascinated me that there's a clear divide between people who find farts funny, and those who think it's pretty juvenile to laugh about such things. I nearly always find them hilarious, but I also know who among my friends I can share my enjoyment. Regardless of which camp you find yourself in, I recommend this WaPo article that lays to rest an important question; Do men or women have worse farts?

Thanks. Unfortunately, it still requires me to create an account. I find farts hilarious but I draw the line at giving the WaPo my email address just to read an article about farts.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

Women fart more potently but men fart more voluminously, essentially making it a tie as to which is worse.Originally posted by BigFatMeanie View Post

One of the things I do on my days looking after Dad is take him for a drive.
Today we went out to Tooele and dowm the back side of the Oquirrhs and stopped at the Camp Floyd site. Came north up Redwood road and drove by the main gate of Camp Williams - I haven't been there in 40+ years and almost didn't recognize it
. They have a pretty good "petting zoo" - irreverent family term of a static display of military equipment - out front now.
I may be small, but I'm slow.

What a career that schmuck had. First the chinese spy and now this.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostI'm pleased that my seven-term Congressman, Eric Swalwell, resigned today.. I am not pleased to remember that I worked in his immediate predecessor's office (Pete Stark),as part of the Washington Seminar program 51 years ago.
Funny to see all the people (including journalists) say they have known about this for years. WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SOMETHING?"There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Mrs. NWC sends me reels from Mrs. Frazzled, who played a significant part in Swalwell's downfall. I just liked laughing at her teacher with Trump shtick (she's a teacher in real life), but I had no idea she was behind a lot of the initial movement to get those womens' stories out:Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

https://www.politico.com/news/2026/0...lwell-00869517Five months before Arielle Fodor, better known on social media as “Mrs. Frazzled,” helped set in motion the downfall of Rep. Eric Swalwell, she was singing his praises on Instagram.
“You know how I love to tell you when I meet a politician who acts like a normal human and not a robot!” she posted the day after the California Democrat launched his campaign for governor. “Eric is that.”
It was a fairly anodyne post for Fodor, a prodigious professional poster. But it drew an unusual response: Three people privately warning her that Swalwell was no good.
Those messages were the embers of a firestorm that in short order incinerated Swalwell’s campaign, and is now engulfing what remains of his political career...
On paper, it was a lopsided matchup. Swalwell had a national profile and support from many in the Democratic Party apparatus. Fodor and another content creator, Cheyenne Hunt — along with behind-the-scenes help from Hunt’s friend, a woman who alleged she had been personally harassed by Swalwell and still remains anonymous — had their keyboards and iPhone cameras.
“People were saying, ‘They’re paid. This is [backed by] a billionaire. This is Roger Stone. This is MAGA,” Fodor said. “In the end, it was three women in a group chat trying everything in our power. It really has just been us.”"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Here's a perversely hilarious short clip of Swalwell just two months ago lecturing Republicans about how they don't trust or understand women. It did not age well.

My brothers and I were talking last night at my fathers and the topic turned to just how young military leadership is.
One of brothers son's just finished in Co Command and hasn't turned 30 yet
A typical Plt ldr is 22-23 yrs old, is in charge of 30-40 people and millions of dollars in equipment
a Co/Btry Co is late 20s and has 150-200 people working for him and is signed for 10s of millions of dollars in equipment
a Battalion Co is in his mid 30 has 500 to 1000 people working for them and upwards of 100 million dollars of equipment
a Brigade Co is in his early 40 has upwards of 5000 people working for them
by 45 most officers have retired

They look younger and younger to me every year. I turn 58 soon. As Napper says, it really is a young man's game.Originally posted by happyone View PostMy brothers and I were talking last night at my fathers and the topic turned to just how young military leadership is.

The hospital cafeteria had a snack pack as one of their lunch specials today. The price? $4.20.
