  • Winter sucks. I long for the days where it was 85 degrees on Christmas day and I would walk out my backyard to the beach and snorkel at the coral reef 200 yards out.

The only time I've enjoyed 85 degree weather on Christmas Day I was a missionary serving on an island and 200 miles from the beach.

Not quite the same, but yeah, winter sucks.

          • 10 days until our BYU coed flies in. How great is that?
            Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Not a bad way of spending your Christmas break, visiting family in JAPAN!! That is awesome and I am sure that she is as anxious as you are.

                • I guess I'm not as much a wimp as I'd feared. I just checked the thermostat and it was shut off again. Away from the window it was 62 degrees and dropping fast. At my desk I'm sure I'm well into the lower 50s.

I have this stupid thermostat that craps out on a regular basis but usually overnight so that when I come in in the morning the office is like a refrigerator. I have to reset the time and date and then everything kicks back in.

Have you looked into a space heater? My wife has one underneath our computer table.

I may be small, but I'm slow.

Apparently, a space heater will do the trick. Do you think I need a clever cat quote poster by my desk if I do go with the space heater at my feet?

I turn my space heater on when the temp drops below 70 degrees in my office. Cold!
