Congrats! I'm glad you failed. Accounting is something that only people who like it should study.

          • The glass cubicles at SLC and other airports where smokers must go to engage in their habit amuse me. I feel like I'm walking past a museum exhibit, but wish there were an accompanying audioguide. "The Smoker's Habitat, circa 1950. Remember when there was a smoking section on airplanes? Those were the days.

                • Wasn't there a bill in this year's legislature that aimed at doing away with those smoke rooms at the SLC airport?

Crazy that the state that doesn't allow you to pour a drink in front of a kid at the restaurant, is also one of the last places to still have smoking rooms.

Yikes. Thanks for passing that on. I'm still hoping that he finds another engineering discipline to study. For Freshman, there's not much difference in the core curriculum among engineering majors. After his Freshman year, he's thinking of serving a mission so he will have some time to think things over.

I never really cared for it, but I was good at it and there are a lot of job opportunities upon graduation. Such is the case generally with engineering as well so I'm fine with him studying it; even better that he has a strong interest in it. But not everyone can survive the academic demands of an engineering curriculum.

I have been calling them the Wachowski Brother and Sister for years. Now I can just switch to sisters. I think the one who came out years ago is post-op.
