Do you or anyone else know if I can contact Google and tell them that I don't want my house to be seen?"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

No but you could spray paint Luddite on your garage door and see how long it takes that to show up.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostDo you or anyone else know if I can contact Google and tell them that I don't want my house to be seen?

Good idea, though I'd rather have a banner that said "Luddite" - or "Luteite" for that matter - rather than painting my garage door.Originally posted by FMCoug View PostNo but you could spray paint Luddite on your garage door and see how long it takes that to show up.

Thanks to an FB link provided by 'sup, I've started looking for a place to retire. This map purports to reveal the most screwed up thing about each state, or at least a dubious distinction in which a state is ranked No. 1. California's (air pollution) is kind of a yawn, although it's getting much better. Ohio's (most library visits, thus the nerdiest) is hardly a negative. Washington (bestiality!) and Utah (most online porn subscriptions) have been reported previously. If I had to relocate, I'd look seriously at North Dakota. Its economy is booming and they have the ugliest residents. With the bar thus lowered, I figure I'd be received as a silver-haired Adonis--an "In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king" thing.

http://www.registerguard.com/rg/news...ugene.html.cspSounds like a lot of property owners would be lining up around the corner to allow transients to squat on their property with no food, water or toilets.Poling also faulted the proposal because the city would not be helping people to get out of homelessness.
“All we are doing is warehousing them and not working with them to end their homelessness,” he said.Instead of establishing camps, Clark favored having the city act as a referral service to connect homeless people with property owners who would be willing to let homeless people camp on their property.

In the late 60's I became a huge Raquel Welch fan, although my appreciation had nothing to do with her acting talent or lack thereof. I enjoyed the antibody removal scene in Fantastic Voyage and the iconic picture of her in a furry bikini in One Million Years B.C. My freshman dorm room at DT included a full-sized poster of Ms. Welch in capri pants and bikini top. Over the years, my ardor cooled (who could compete with Mrs. PAC, after all...). At 73, Raquel has to be pretty hagged out, right? Well check out this picture of her at the Emmys over the weekend:

73. God bless medical science. Here are more pics if you're so inclined.

Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

I noticed a couple of tent camps last weekend, but they seemed more of the 'occupy ...' sort rather than homeless.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostWe are opening camps for the homeless! Problem solvers.
