My grandfather told me today that he plans to live to "around 120...I think I have a good chance of making it."
He's 86 and a picture of health. Here's hoping he makes it.
He once told me that he wanted to be hanged at 100 for rape, that was before he became Mormon. Easy, Rosebud; he's reformed."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.
The rest of us rarely bother to think about our actions." --Solon

I feel your pain. I get my wife back tomorrow, after two weeks in the desert. I'm excited, to say the least.Originally posted by Teenage Dirtbag View PostI miss my wife. This could be a whole other thread on doing business with people you know/friends/church members.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostSometimes I get tired of how everyone who even remotely knows me asks me to translate things for them, for free. I translated a divorce decree from Argentina today for my cousin and it took me four hours. I don't mind helping family; I'm not complaining about helping him, but lately a large number of people have sent me emails with attachments, assuming that I have time to translate government documents for them. Helping kin is what you do, but helping friends of friends is different, yet I still do it, usually.
I do free work for family and happily. Haven't had to do too much of that though. I sometimes do free work for church members but in truth that is more marketing than anything else. I have only once have a church member really press me hard to do something for free, most of the time people go out of their way to say that they want to pay. Of course, some of them back up when they learn about the cost.
