FS, I would be remiss if I didn't recommend my brother's favorite place to get a poke bowl in Maui. It is literally in the back of a liquor store, but it was pretty great the last time I went there. It's close to the airport. Tamura's Fine Wine:

If you go and it's not great, just remember it's been 4 years since I've been there

Of course, that is why we decided to get out checked out. Especially after what my wife went through.

But they are thinking it is just a UTI, so going to get her some drugs and head on up.

      Yay for vacation!

        • It does not have to be in the baja for fish tacos to be awesome.

          • Any of you been to Evermore Park in Pleasant Grove? That's where we'll be tomorrow night. My 13-year-old daughter is really excited. The rest of the family, not so much.

I'm just happy to be on a comfortable bed at the Hyatt (hooray for rewards points!).

I'm not going to yuck your yum. But I was low key trying to bait someone into saying whether they were genuine Baja style w/ fresh, fried fish or.... grilled fish tacos. Hawaii has the goods-- it's just a shame when good fish is thrown after bad recipes.

                Yes. Fried fish.

Cranberry Juice - and be sure to have "that" talk with her.

                  • I had some very good tacos on Maui. And some just ok ones. Same as Vegas.

Evermore Park can be pretty fun - for the right kind of person. My daughters both enjoyed it. My son was pretty bored and was very relieved when I authorized him to return to the hotel that was, thankfully, right next to the park. My wife wasn't feeling well enough to go. It's just as well since I don't think she would have cared to attend even if she had been feeling well.

There's a lot of talk of dragons, pirates, quests, etc. Its great for those who like to use their imaginations in fantasy land.

The axe throwing and archery weren't too bad, but the line for archery was entirely too long.

The best part in my mind was the fire dancing show, which they seem to run hourly along with an aerialist show.

I may have offended a young employee of the Park. My youngest was posing for a picture with her. As I am wont to do when taking pictures, I said something like "Smile, pretend you're happy." She took exception to my statement about pretending. I responding, "''Pretending' is what this whole place is about, isn't it?" She didn't seem to like that statement, either.

Deep fried. And if it's not, just go ahead and call it a 'fish sandwich.' Or add the prefix 'fake' to the word 'fish taco.' Sorry- I don't make the rules.

Yes. Deep fried. That’s what I always order anyway.

My nephew and his wife are actors at that place. That absolutely love it. I'm planning on going next week to support them, but it sure doesn't seem to be my jam. We'll see how it goes.

I'm actually shocked it's survived this long. I guess there are enough geeks out there to keep it alive
