I also need to reroof my house. you are welcome to come help me when you are done with yours.
I'm definitely getting too old for this, but I'm a cheapskate that way. If you want to use my tools after I'm done, let me know.

    • High 90's throughout the week here in Central Oregon. Motivation to start riding to work again tanked.

      • I was thinking to reseed some grass this week until I saw triple-digits in the forecast.

        • Man, after a summer of hell in Texas with triple digit temperature it got nice... in the 80's now. Labor Day weekend we are looking at highs of 85, 82, and 80. Might have to break out the sweaters .

          • The change in the weather is depressing. I really dislike the cold.

Glad to have the reroof completed before the wet weather though.

Yeah, and the additional darkness doesn't help either. I knew what I was getting into when I left California, but I still have issues with this time of year and the weather changes.

                • I like Oregon winters - I sleep better at night - and get to wear my Columbia vest thingy.

Yeah, I have been in Utah and then this happens... I am going back to Texas.

Seems like Texas would make a fine winter home.

it was 85 degrees today. We went outside at 6pm and played wiffleball and spikeball. I love this time of year and the perfect weather it brings.

In a perfect world I would need three seasonal homes. Fairbanks from May 15 to September 1. SLC from Sept 1 through Nov 15 (maybe earlier). Phoenix or Tucson from Nov 15 through Mar 1. SLC again from Mar 1 through May 15.

Texas is just way too humid.

For me I think I could live with Hawaii year round.

I have a dream of owning a home with a lanai, not on Lanai, but just somewhere where a lanai makes sense. I'm thinking Zarcero, Costa Rica:
