      Bandon?

The weather actually looks good. I like crisp temps for golfing - especially when you have to walk like pioneer children.

I'm sure Central Oregon is still in the 'extreme drought' category. But we've had solid rain (well, 'solid' for our parts) the past few days. It's been much appreciated. Everything smells wonderful.

Soil moisture levels have been at historic lows. That hinders runoff as much of the water soaks in the ground. But in the long run this rain is a good thing. The ideal scenario is that we get lots of all fall rain to saturate the soil and then a good snowpack and then in the spring, more of the water will run off to fill the reservoirs than would happen with drier soils.

            That's crazy.

It's been raining here pretty much nonstop since at least Saturday.

That's what I was thinking. Soak those soils now, then let the big snows come!

We got blasted with rain this last weekend. Thursday night was some end of days type storm, which carried over into Friday. A little break on Saturday, and then Sunday was nuts. My office flooded on Thursday night and we spent half of Friday morning cleaning it up. Then, on Sunday after church, I stopped by the office to check on things. While there, the skies opened up like crazy for several hours, as I watched the water seep in through one of the outside walls and through the roof in another place. Spent 4 hours cleaning things up. But now I have a nice, new wet-dry vac, carpet cleaner and a heavy duty dehumidifier, in anyone in the area needs to borrow one.

It’s doing pretty well at building up the big, white reservoirs in the sierras.

Everyone knows California doesn't build reservoirs - too impactful on the environment.

The ground is still wet, but the rain seems to have let up. And there are clear skies on the horizon.

No it's not. It's sunny (but chilly).

24 degree low schedule this week. RIP my fruit trees (blossoms).

I had snow for much of the day yesterday. Good to be back home with 70 degree temps
