When I first saw this post, I thought it must be in the 80s music thread.

      • Where's the Official Snow Shoveling Thread? Holy crap! The drive to our warehouse is either last to be plowed, or skipped altogether. It's about 100' long, and half of that had an 18" drift across. I'll be feeling that when I wake up tomorrow. I mean, it's April 4th!

          • I think Utah is missing an opportunity to help refill the GSL by not transporting plowed snow and dumping it in the lake. At one point a pipeline was discussed and this would be way easier. I'm sure the so-called know-it-all "water expert" on this board would have all kinds of reasons why this wouldn't work but it's a good idea and I stand by it.

Probably too much salt has been spread and it'll make the lake salty.

                • EQ presidents around Utah better start some core strengthening. A lot of sandbagging ahead.

                  • Two days ago it was up over 75 degrees and I opened up the bedroom window to cool off the house at night. Right now, it's snowing. Again.

                    • I've been watching the Utah Snowpack all season. Now it's time to watch the River Flow Tracker:

                      • Good snow storm last night. I got a few inches at home so I used the snowblower and then hit the sidewalks in the neighborhood. It was still snowing when I left for work at 7. Camp Williams got a bit more. I shoveled about five inches with all the drifting from the blowing wind. Hopefully I'll be able to drive out of here, because the plows have not only neglected my driveway, but the cross road that leads to that driveway. The winds are blowing hard, and snow continues to drift.

                        • Yesterday, I took my daughter to a popular sledding location just up the mountain from Lucky Peak Dam.

There wasn't nearly as much snow as I was expecting (probably only 2-3 inches) and not many people had been there yet, so we ended up blazing a few new sledding paths.

I shoveled our walkway and driveway after returning from church this morning. Probably only about one inch.

                          • As an update, I did get stuck trying to get out. After some effort, I was able to back to my driveway. I backed all the way up and got as much speed as I could to get across the drifts and into the parking lot of the next warehouse which had less snow to navigate.

That was something I did to free up space in our small warehouse. It's made a huge difference.
