the answer is that he committed to Utah. He was saying hawaii and Utah State for sentimental reasons. He never wanted to go there. It's clear he picked Utah over USC, Washington, etc. Get over it.

For the record I am in the Fehoko camp and really like the signing but let me fix something above for you.

He never had a USC offer and I am not sure on his OU and ND offers. He did have some good BCS offers.

Still puzzling that a kid with even an offer from UW would have Utah St. (Utah St.!) in his top 3.

I think weight and height were "an issue" but this is a good player that Utah will enjoy having. Utah incidentally is stacked at the position.

Utah has never been "stacked" at LB as long as I can remember. We take backup punters and make them LB's fer crying out loud.

Forget SC, he couldn't even get an offer from BYU! If Utah wasn't all over him he was picking between Hawai'i and Utah St.!

And for the record, from top to bottom I think TCU has the best overall class. BYU has the stars at the top but I don't think there overall depth in the class was as good as TCU's. Junkie may prove me wrong as he is putting together an interesting post right now.

Not to ruin everyones dreams, but an SC offer isn't the end all be all of if a kid is good or not. Did Quizz Rodgers have an SC offer? Did Jordan Wynn have an SC offer? Did DeMarcus Ware have an SC offer?

SC gets a ton of talent, probably more than any other team in the country, they still miss on offers just like everyone else.
