Chase Hanson is the best High School "football player" in the state of Utah and it isn't even close. He may not be the prospect with the most potential but their isn't a playmaker like him in this state. He destroyed Bingham tonight. A Bingham team that has D-1 talent on their D and Hanson threw for over 300 yards and rushed for more than 100. The kid just makes plays. The more I see him, the more I think he can be a really good q.b. at the next level.

I think this is a bit of hyperbole. He is putting up the best numbers but it helps that he plays on the best team as well. I think he has a long ways to go to be a good D-1 quarterback but he is well on his way. Bingham was killed when they went down to California to play and they are not nearly the team they have been in years past.Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostChase Hanson is the best High School "football player" in the state of Utah and it isn't even close. Remember Riley Nelson and Ryan Zimmerman both put up gaudy numbers in highschool as well. I think he has more physical tools then both of them and you are right the Utes should be very excited.*Banned*

I tuned into that game on KJZZ for a few minutes last night. Now wait a minute...the extremely knowledgeable BYU fan base was calling for Nelson and cheered him when he got into the Utah game...that guy has untapped potential!Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI think this is a bit of hyperbole. Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I think they were blocking out that they were at a football game and had moved on to a track meet. They couldn't wait to watch Riley throw the shotput.Originally posted by DrumNFeather View PostNow wait a minute...the extremely knowledgeable BYU fan base was calling for Nelson and cheered him when he got into the Utah game...that guy has untapped potential!*Banned*

I made the same assessment last night as well. I don't wonder at all if your assessment of Hansen would be different had he chosen to play for BYU.Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostChase Hanson is the best High School "football player" in the state of Utah and it isn't even close. I remember them well but I don't think that either of them had the athleticism and arm strength that Hanson has. They didn't have close to his size. I have actually known Zimmerman since he was just a little guy. Our parents are friends.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI think this is a bit of hyperbole. I am not saying he doesn't have a lot to learn or polish up on. He is still very raw. I think the kid has a ton of talent, a good arm and has the potential to be a very good q.b. Time will tell. I am excited about the kid though."Take it to the Bank"

I doubt Hansen has the abs or hair that Nelson has, though.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI think this is a bit of hyperbole. Would you rather have a guy that is a highly polished, entitled QB coming in to your program or a guy that is already very, very good but is raw and unpolished and looking for something to prove?Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostI remember them well but I don't think that either of them had the athleticism and arm strength that Hanson has. The next time one of you Utah Pac-12ers wanders into the Big 12 expansion thread and shits all over it do I have your permission to tell them to GTFO?Originally posted by Portland Ute View PostTanner Mangum isnt' a Utah recruit and this is a Utah recruiting thread.
GTFO.
(I'm sure at one time you also rather have Heaps than most any other QB. He's doing wonders for your program and locker room now...)"Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

Welcome back, Tone Deaf. I wondered how long you would hide after the rivalry game.
