    Really?

The stories/rumors/etc. that I always heard was that BYU was losing poly players because Chow was a crappy recruiter who took them for granted rather than really recruiting them and that he killed the poly pipeline in Hawaii.

    Not true?

You're responding to a sarcastic post btw.

        Lance Anderson

        Realistic candidates
        Robert Anae
        Kalani Sitake
        Ken N.
(none of whom are better than Bronco)

Under the radar who are you candidates
        Brandon Streeter (Clemson QB coach)

Don't be surprised if Bronco hires Ruffin McNeil as his DC in Virginia and I guarantee you he is taking Wintrich and could take Anae if he doesn't get the head job at BYU.
I'm curious about Streeter. I didn't know he was LDS, but he appears as if he's on his way to an OC position at a top tier program pretty soon.

Hi risk, but potentially hi reward.

Streeter is also the recruiting coordinator at Clemson.

Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

He's been successful wherever he's been.

            • Is it bad that the evil side of my brain would love to see the carnage on CB if Howell was retained at BYU by the new regime?

If Ken N can be successful without bringing his offense over, then he'd be a good hire. But I don't know if you can separate him from that option offense. Then you have Sitake and the recruiting angle, but there's a question regarding whether he was responsible for any of the defensive success at Utah.

So maybe you opt for the guy who will be the OC at Clemson or some other top tier program by 2017 who apparently knows how to recruit. The problem is I have no idea how he'd get a defensive staff in place although it's be nice to get Sitake as DC in the event he's feeling the heat at Oregon State.

Is it well known the Clemson guy is LDS?

                  • I watched the last part of the Bronco presser. He says he'll bring whomever on his staff sees his vision and wants to continue it. Howell's a goner, and everyone else on the defensive side short of Kaufusi, who is probably closer to retirement rather than picking up and moving across the country; I imagine if Kalani comes he could easily be retained. I hope Anae doesn't feel the need to be an HC; Guy Holliday, Atuaia, and 2Jay have been awesome for recruiting. And Beck is Tanner's main man, reportedly. Anae might be toxic for recruits, but his staff has stepped it up and I'd like to see it continue uninterrupted next year.

I'm literally going off CJ's post from Friday. Aside from that, I've seen nothing mentioning that he's LDS.

Doesn't seem to have any ties to Utah, played QB at Clemson and no mention anywhere that he's LDS, but I don't even need to trust CJ...

He's definitely LDS. EQ Pres even.

Streeters first cousin is in my ward. He is definitely LDS, I have no idea his activity level.

Try younger bishop who they're grooming to be the next stake president.

Or he could just be a Pentecostal.

                              His wife doesn't look LDS.
