I for one am shocked that a school with a racist nickname would employ a coach that is racist. Shocked I tell you!

The thing that strikes me about the story is that the text was intended for fellow coaches. My question would be which coaches? And what made him think that the coaches he was sending it to would be ok with that type of language unless the usage was common among them?“Every player dreams of being a Yankee, and if they don’t it’s because they never got the chance.” Aroldis Chapman

Rumor has it was Sharrief Shah. Sharrief is a cool guy and has a law degree. It wouldn't surprise me if that was just typical banter between him and Scalley.Originally posted by Copelius View PostThe thing that strikes me about the story is that the text was intended for fellow coaches. It seems like that may be it. Shah can say it, Scalley cannot.Originally posted by Shaka View PostRumor has it was Sharrief Shah. Sharrief is a cool guy and has a law degree. It wouldn't surprise me if that was just typical banter between him and Scalley.
I think that Scalley is done at Utah. I'd imagine it will be a few years, at least, before he has even a shot at being back in coaching.
I don't know the right punishment for him, but the text and now Ryan Lacy, not a good look.As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

I enjoy watching utah suffer in general, but I despise cancel culture."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."
