Did some checking for you so you could get a jump on your weekend plans. Ranked teams that wont be showing up on your basic cable plan:
Stanford, Michigan, UCLA, TexasAM.
Toledo played last night, not sure where, but moot since it's not this weekend. But probably espn given a tuesday nighter.
I'll get you some Friday comedy-drama (comerama) recommendations a little later. I have to go and ref a bunion growing contest.
Ta-ta for now!
Cheers,

At what time and on what channel does Utah kick off as the underdog against a 0.500 team? TIA!

Anything else? Heading to bed in a few, but I'll check this thread later tomorrow.
gonna get a glass of milk on the way. I've got some carnation malt in the pantry, would be no problem to make those two dance together and fed-ex it off to you. Malted milk, few things finer.

We know you will, little certifiable brother.

I understood that but the bunion thing and the other gibberish is what I was talking about. Maybe I'll ask Ed Hochuli.

Devontae Heisman is 15th in the nation in rushing yards (845) and he is averaging 4.8 yards per carry with 8 touchdowns.
Let's compare that to some other Heisman candidates:
Leonard Fournette: 1st in rushing yards (1352), 7.7 YPC, 15 touchdowns
Ezekiel Elliot: 3rd in rushing yards (1130), 6.6 ypc 13 tds
Derrick Henry: 5th in rushing yards (1044), 5.8 ypc, 14 tds
Dalvin Cook: 6th in rushing yards (1037), 8.16, 11 tds
So clearly he is not anywhere close to being in the elite class of running backs. Even the next wave with McCaffrey, Royce Freeman, Shock Linwood, and CJ Prosise, he doesn't stack up.
But how about some random cats that most of you have never heard of?
Matt Breida from Georgia Southern: 953 yards, 9.6 ypc, 11 tds
Joel Bouagnon from Northern Illinois: 863 rushing yards, 5.1 ypc and 14 tds
Ray Lawry from Old Dominion: 830 rushing yards, 6.1 ypc and 8 tds
Darius Jackson from Eastern Michigan: 799 rushing yards, 5.5 ypc, 12 tds
Marcus Cox from Appalachian state: 777 yards, 5.7 ypc, 8 tds
He is on par with this group of no-namers with regards to total yards, but he is still well behind when it comes to YPC.
In fact let's just take the top 85 running backs in college football, every guy with over 500 yards rushing this year. How many do you think have a lower YPC than Booker?
If you guessed 7 you would be correct. Out of 85 running backs, he has 8th lowest yards per carry.
(Since this is a rivalry thread, for comparisons sake, Algie Brown has exactly 100 fewer carries than Booker, He would need to average 3.8 yards per carry and score 1 touchdown over those 100 carries to equal what Booker has done, basically turn in to Nate Carter for 100 carries)
Time for a Booker update!
Since this post Booker has had a chance to really pad his stats, playing Oregon State, Washington and Arizona.
Of course, instead of feasting on these subpar rush defenses, Bookers ypc has actually gone down on the season to 4.7.
Against Oregon State (114th ranked rush defense) he was right on that season average of 4.8
Washington he took a little dip down to 4.4 ypc
Finally against mighty Arizona (85th rush D) he dropped even further to 4.3.
He seems to have a lot of work to do, if he wants to get the Heisman campaign back on track.
Booker listed as questionable/doubtful for Saturday. Looks like Utah is in trub. Hopefully missing one game doesn't derail his Heisman campaign, though.
So if UCLA beats Utah, USC wins out, Utah might play BYU in vegas bowl
WSU would have to beat washington
Oregon would have to finish tied or ahead of utah in conference too
Thatd be a disaster for BYU though.
Also, I don't think it works this way. I thought beyond the playoff and rose bowl selection, record doesn't enter into it for bowl selection. There is a selection order, but whichever bowl is in line next selects whoever they want that is bowl elligible and sometimes that is a team that finished lower in the conference if they will sell more tickets. Correct me if I'm wrong, PAC 12 people.
