I agree with this. I was in Utah for MTSU and USU. Had a great time at both games. Sat by the band in Logan. That was fun.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Where the #1 team in the country went down. Where Ty won his Heisman. Where Staley tip toed into the end zone. I miss cheering on my boys in blue. I miss being a part of the crowd. I miss the pre-game buzz. I miss the roar of the fans and rising to my feet for the big play. I miss the camaraderie of Cougar fans. I miss clapping and singing and I even miss fist rolling. I miss floating out of LES after a Cougar victory. It is pure euphoria. There is nothing like that. Cars honking horns. High fiving strangers. Random yelling and cheering and enough smiles to light up the Y. I even miss being able to commiserate with fellow fans with a shake of the head after losses. And I miss coming home and experiencing it all over again on TV. You can stay home. You can watch games in HD on a big TV. That's what I have to do. It isn't the same. The highs will never be as high if you weren't there. The lows will never be as low either. But isn't that why we're fans? To live and die a little every weekend with our team? I'd kill to have season tickets and be able to go. Hell I almost bought a ticket to the Boise St game when KVN called for fans to turn out because they hadn't sold the game out yet.
It's not enough to get me to move back, but if I was still there, I'd absolutely have season tickets and be at every home game no matter the opponent. Making the weekly trek down to Provo on fall Saturdays with my dad and little brother are among the greatest memories of my life. We knew all the people that sat around us, where my cousins sat, my grandparents, and various people from our ward. We'd get there early and chat them up before kickoff and run around the stands. Even when I go down now for a random game here and there, I know where all these people are and swing by to say hello. It's a great feeling, and something I miss a lot. When people ask me where my favorite place in the world is, I legitimately answer Lavell Edwards Stadium. For me it's magic.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I just love how my kids get excited about it.
They always are asking me when the next game is. My two and a half year old got up on Friday and said "BYU GAME TODAY, DADDY!!!!!!!"
She loves it. She yells GO COUGARS and hums the fight song. My four year old and six year old love it as well. My two little girls dress up like BYU cheerleaders and copy what the cheerleaders are doing. I've taken my son alone. I like the time we get to spend together.
Most of all I like that it's a good family environment and I like that it's something we do together as a family. It's been such nice weather this year at all the games, and I like the games at night better. Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

These are similar reasons to why I drive 9 hours on game day to get to home games.Originally posted by Surfah View PostI care because I'd give my right nut to sit back in LES 6-7 times a year. I think they are rapidly approaching a year's delay on operational status due to electrical issues they haven't been able to solve. Things keep melting down. I can't imagine the heat that the general contractor is feeling right now. But they owe me $75k in change orders that they won't approve so I'm enjoying their misfortune.Originally posted by FN Phat View PostDidnt it recently burn down? Anyone catch the full "Boise is not a State" thing from Studio C on the video board during the game? There are some BSU fans upset about it here in the office. I didn't see the whole thing in the stadium and couldn't find it online. Anyone have a link or see the whole thing?"I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"

Upset about it? Really? It wasn't that funny, and it was even less offensive. Is Boise a State? Because unless it really is, there isn't anything to take offense from...Originally posted by Pelado View PostAnyone catch the full "Boise is not a State" thing from Studio C on the video board during the game?
