You richies are all the same. Reasonable minds may differ, but while I think every golfer should play Pebble Beach at least once, I think BYU football, even with its current schedule, provides greater value than a $500 round of golf at Pebble Beach (esp. considering said fees exclude the additionally hefty costs of lodging, meals and transportation).Originally posted by byu71 View Post... I think I am better off watching the games on TV and spending that money on say a trip to Pebble Beach with the boys.

I didn't tell you to shut the hell up. I said quit yer bitching. There is a difference.Originally posted by byu71 View PostI appreciate your attitude and would never call you nuts or tell you to shut the hell up because I don't agree with you. That's just me.
I don't care to get into it again because I have already explained that the old MWC schedule was terrible every other year because we had Utah and TCU on the same rotation. There is little difference between next year's schedule and the year's in the MWC when we were at Utah and TCU. So I don't understand the hand wringing over it."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

That isn't the vibe I have gotten. The vibe I have gotten is no one should put a value on BYU tickets. Hey that's OK, after all folks on here are Cougarboarders at heart except when it comes to social issues.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostReasonable minds may differ,
I also find some humor in all of this. People telling me of the value and then asking if I can get them tickets because I am a Legacy member. Knowing the reasonable guy you are I know you also see the humor in it.Last edited by byu71; 10-28-2013, 12:06 PM.

There's a few funny predictions/declarations in that thread you linked:Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostYou are right, it was.
Im trying to think of the game BYU71 said he was not attending because he didnt think we would win. Maybe it was the Texas game.
I wound up making a chilling prediction about the BLUE RIVER SHOOTouT that came true. Very eerie.

NSA Baby!Originally posted by Surfah View PostI care because I'd give my right nut to sit back in LES 6-7 times a year. When I was there I went to the games to see BYU, not who they played. I miss it terribly. So much so I have been looking for new career opportunities that could bring me back to Utah. That place is hallowed ground. It's where Jimmy Mac played. Where the #1 team in the country went down. Where Ty won his Heisman. Where Staley tip toed into the end zone. I miss cheering on my boys in blue. I miss being a part of the crowd. I miss the pre-game buzz. I miss the roar of the fans and rising to my feet for the big play. I miss the camaraderie of Cougar fans. I miss clapping and singing and I even miss fist rolling. I miss floating out of LES after a Cougar victory. It is pure euphoria. There is nothing like that. Cars honking horns. High fiving strangers. Random yelling and cheering and enough smiles to light up the Y. I even miss being able to commiserate with fellow fans with a shake of the head after losses. And I miss coming home and experiencing it all over again on TV. You can stay home. You can watch games in HD on a big TV. That's what I have to do. It isn't the same. The highs will never be as high if you weren't there. The lows will never be as low either. But isn't that why we're fans? To live and die a little every weekend with our team? I'd kill to have season tickets and be able to go. Hell I almost bought a ticket to the Boise St game when KVN called for fans to turn out because they hadn't sold the game out yet.
And while your at it, can you find out about the secret aircraft flying out of Dugway?
