Great read. My favorite of a few lol lines:

One of the best lines regarding that play (from a Texas forum) was, "Hey, we finally tackled someone. Too bad he didn't have the ball."

Maybe he means Hill is just a running back.

I've heard some BYU fans say stupid things like that too. Interesting that we never heard fans say that about Vince Young and Denard Robinson when they put up similar performances. Instead, people were talking about Heisman trophies.

ps I'm a little surprised to read a few posts about the electricity of the stadium. For the most part, I thought it was dead and really quiet except after big plays. I blame a lot of that on the weather. Electric environments permeate throughout the entire game. I spent more time during the first half trying to ignore the Texas band and straining to hear any noise from our band. Also, where is the student section? Didn't even know we had one.

The stadium got so quiet when we set up for that first field goal. I don't remember the last time it was that quiet.

Was it just me, or did it look like there were a lot more BYU fans at the UVA game than Texas fans at last night's game at LES. I thought maybe they just couldn't get tickets, but even the visitor's section looked half empty.

They were well represented.

BYU got 14 votes in A.P. poll this week. Good enough for 37th. Interestingly, it was still less than Texas got ( which makes no sense at all). We have a ways to go before we deserve to be in the top 25, but if Utah comes into Provo undefeated, we probably get in with a win.

You must not have been paying attention to the 4 years Denard was at Michigan. Outside of RichRod that was the fan base's biggest complaint.

The last time Texas only won 6 games was 1957 ... and even then they only lost 4 and were ranked 11 in the A.P. poll at the end of the season.

They have the talent to beat a lot of teams in Big 12 play. I think they'll beat Ole Miss next week.

I was wrong, by the way. I was only looking at years they were ranked in the A.P. poll. They actually only went 5-7 in 2010 so 6-6 is not out of the realm of possibility. I hope they roll the rest of the season though.

I was going to say I thought they'd had a recent losing season. One of their fans told me that last night.

Probably the right place for a team that mops the floor with Texas and loses to Virginia.

It's easy to look at the stats and say that Taysom has some accuracy problems (which he does). He has clearly thrown some balls that were not on target and that needs to get better. It seems to me, however, there are also a lot of problems with communication. Some of the balls are so wildly off target that it seems obvious that there was miscommunication between where Taysom thinks the receiver should be and the route that is actually run. It's really impossible to know who is to blame for that miscommunication, but when it gets cleaned up and we stop having so many drops, I think the passing numbers will improve a lot. Not trying to take any blame away from Taysom, but it is more than just an "accuracy" problem.

Most of Hill's accuracy problems come when he puts something extra on the ball. As he gets time and becomes better with the speed of his progressions, his accuracy will correct itself in a lot of ways.
