So, you have no idea how it might negatively impact his throwing? Me neither. Especially considering he's not likely much bigger than RGIII, Newton, Kapernick.Originally posted by old_gregg View Posttry on your older bro's shoulder pads while he's at school this week.
Here's an experiment. Put your arm up in the air like you are going to throw a football. Now, while holding it there, imagine your arm with nicely build muscles on your shoulder and upper arm. Good, now you've realized that the extra muscle, replacing the extra fat, is not going to make you a worse thrower of footballs.

upper body mass has no potential to affect one's ability to throw a football.

Here is what Brian Billick had to say about Tebow when he was coming out of college:
Doing some quick reading on conditioning programs that Brees and Brady use, their focus is all on core strength, balance, and what Brees called "joint integrity". The best throwing quarterbacks certainly don't look like Hill at all. But Hill doesn't play QB like those guys either. Who knows if his upper body is getting big enough to interfere with the "fluidity" he needs to be a consistent thrower. He probably looks similar to what Donovan McNabb and Steve McNair did in the NFL, two guys who were good passers that also were built well enough to withstand the hits that came from scrambling around more than pocket passers.“I think the No. 1 thing Tim Tebow has to do, I don’t think he can lift the way he’s lifted before,” Billick explained. “There’s three people that can’t lift the way Tim Tebow does: pro quarterbacks, pro tennis players and golfers. He has got to cut back on that rigid, thick (frame). I know it keeps him alive as a running quarterback, but it does not bode well for his passing, the fluidity that he has to have. So that’s, to me, job one in the offseason, he’s got to change his (conditioning) mindset.”

The guy in the middle doesn't look deceptively fast for a receiver, so that's good.Originally posted by MarkGrace View Posthttps://twitter.com/AshantiBlackmon/...103168/photo/1
Picture with Tays, Blackmon and Kurt Henderson. So yeah, our QB looks like, uh, that.I'm like LeBron James.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Ricky Town officially decommited from Alabama about an hour agoOriginally posted by woot View PostDo you have a source for this? This would be big news if true, but it doesn't seem to be so.
Michigan nabbing Bama's OC is pretty awesome, but the only comment I'd seen from Town is that he's still solid with Bama.

As you know, the michigan connection that Junkie referenced is because Alabama's OC left to go to Michigan. I doubt he goes there, but you never know.
He looks intriguing in the video. I know it is a drill so there isnt a lot of checking down to do, but that was one thing I noticed that made me a little nervous....dude locks in on one target on almost every snap in the video.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Yeah just saw that. Michigan's had 2 2015 top-50 types decommit recently so Town would be nice. Still no indication he'd like to follow his OC though.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostRicky Town officially decommited from Alabama about an hour ago

Throwing speed has a lot more to do with anatomy and mechanics than muscular strength. I haven't looked into this issue specifically, but I'd assume that Taysom doesn't have near the muscle mass required to significantly inhibit his ability to stretch the tendons and ligaments in his shoulder and elbow.
