      • I'd bring in SDSU over CU. Having a presence in SoCal would be a good thing. SD is also a good roadie.

I'd prefer BYU and Utah in the same conference so I will welcome them to the B12. However, if Utah got left out I would come down with an acute case of schadenfreude.

Yeah, hopefully ESPN is telling the B12 don't invite Utah because they are a PITA and we will give you a big fat contract.

Speaking of ESPN... this is interesting:

I guess the B1G had so much other money they didn't care about ESPN. More ESPN money for "Big 12 at Night".

So B12 fans are cool with Colorado coming back into the fold? The Buffs are the ones that started all the defections from the B12. Maybe things cooled down after Colorado and Nebraska left and took with them the amity those programs had towards each other.

Will be interesting to see what rivalries form in the new B12. The conference had some good ones: OU-Texas, OU-Nebraska, Texas-Texas A&M, Missouri-Kansas, Colorado-Nebraska. I suppose it was not meant to last. I do enjoy some good 'ol schadenfreude at Utah's expense but maybe the B12 needs Utah-BYU.

It takes a pretty toxic fanbase to make B12 fans forget about Colorado. Somehow the utes have done it.

Geez, can you imagine what ute fans would be like had they actually won the Rose bowl? (shudder)

Those Rose Bowl rings have brought out the worst in the Utah haters. Wait.... what?.... Utah didnt' win the RB? Based upon twitter, this doesn't seem possible.

                    • Lebowski, are you basing your observations on Twitter only? Not sure that cesspool is a great representation of any fanbase.

                        • It seems likely Utah is coming to the B12, and I'm good with that. In fairness, perhaps they should go independent for a decade first.

                          • Shouldn't we have a parade to celebrate?

                            Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I would hope that true fanbases would reserve judgement on most hated status based on attending games at opponent stadiums, or opponent fans visiting their stadium. If that were the case. I think ASU would get most hated for football, and Arizona for basketball.

The problem is that Utah fans have been belittling the Big-XII since BYU was announced it was joining. It's pure pettiness and tribalism. BYU fans have been similar with the Pac-12. The problem really came to a head when UCLA and USC left and the rumors that the Big-XII would poach some Pac-12 teams started. To many Utah fans, because BYU was in the Big-XII, the Big-XII MUST be a lesser conference. So Utah fans ran their mouth. Big-XII fans didn't like this. But Utah fans on twitter, reddit, and sports boards just couldn't help themselves.
