    Yeah... LOL.

        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

How about CU, AZ, ASU, and SDSU?

Far better for BYU. There is no long term advantage for BYU to be in the same league as Utah (assuming they’re not in a better one). Lots of recruiting overlap, and to a lesser degree completions for eyeballs every Saturday afternoon

What's your obsession over eyeballs all about?

uofutah or SDSU is worth discussion by the Big12. I hope that happens.

I genuinely don't want Utah in the Big-XII, but how realistic is it that they won't get picked up? It's a foregone conclusion they will.

I agree that it seems like a foregone conclusion. But why? They've had a good run, but they are one bad coaching hire away from regressing to the historical mean. Look at the uofutah bb program.

Don't really bring more eyeballs. Do bring a well-know rivalry game with BYU that could be exploited. I like that idea. But not taking SDSU leaves the whole of California to the BIG, and to a lesser extent the MWC and the WAC. Would be good for the Big12 to have a foothold there. And who knows, Big12 affiliation may elevate SDSU, and that is a fun rivalry with BYU.

I guess this is getting a little far out of the skis right now, but should the time come, would like to see some analysis breaking down the decision-making process.

Agreed. The bolded cannot be overstated. College football is all about coaching. If you have a great coach you can compete, if you have all the resources and fan support with a great coach you can compete for championships. Utah has obviously outperformed BYU over the past 20 years, but they are punching above their weight with good coaching (Urban followed by KW). This run has not turned them into a cross-generational power and it remains to be seen if it can be maintained after KW retires. CFB is littered with lesser programs who rose up to compete nationally and then regressed to their average after they lost the coach(es) who made it happen (Washington State, Louisville, Kansas State, even Boise State fits this mold).

I would love to see Utah left out because it is best for BYU. I think it's most likely they end up in the Big 12 but there are good arguments for SDSU over Utah.

If Utah ends up in the B12 (I agree it is more likely than SDSU) they will immediately be the most hated team in the league.
