So shortly after posting an egregiously non-format compliant prediction post you decide to post this. Well, certainly it is non a big deal if one person doesn't follow the rules, but you are Utah's elder statesman. Now I will probably have to deal with 10-15 prediction posts that are non-compliant. Take a look at BYU's elder statesmen. You don't see PAC or creekster leading people astray. In fact, the usual try to help the prediction contest run smoothly. Shame on you.

I had no idea. I will try to fix my error and somehow atone for it. I say this with as much love as my earlier posts in this thread.

If Doman watched the tape on the USU game, he'll realize that running wide around Utah's ends (particularly the right side of the D-line) is much more productive than running between the tackles.

Since our O-line can't even push Weber State off the line and open holes, what you describe is the only running game BYU has or will have until our O-line improves.

I am not one who is quick to call for coaches heads. However, since Weber's arrival I have heard great things about the talent and potential of the OL line recruits and then pretty average results when it comes to performance.

The disconnect has to be either the hype on these kids or the coaching they get. By the way, did Reynolds stick with Philadephia?

I'm fairly optimistic that BYU has a chance to win - which of course means it will be a very difficult game.

I'm also very sad that Wynn was injured and may not play on Saturday - I think as Y fan I would be much more comfortable with him at QB than either of the other guys. Don't know why, I just do.

I think that with Nelson you just never know what you are going to get. I'm sure he'll keep fighting until the game is over to win - so we've got that going for us. I also know that there will be at least one play when he fights for extra yards or extra time in the pocket when I will wish that he would've just gone down or thrown the ball away. Nelson doesn't know when he's lost a battle - and I just don't want to have that keep him from winning the war.

I know Ute fans are hoping to forget Friday, so I'm sorry to bring it up. But as I drove home Friday afternoon and listened to the radio wonks and callers all talking about how Utah was going to score 30+ points, how USU had no shot, and how USU's best bet at winning one of their three big games (Utah, @Wisconsin, @BYU) was without a doubt and undebatably the @BYU game - I remember thinking, these guys have no idea. USU is loaded and waiting...at home...for this game. I'll be surprised if things turn out how they believe.

Finally - my greatest fear...maybe just rivaling my fear that someone will show up at QB in a Heaps jersey and start rolling the ball into the endzone for Utah defenders to pounce on...is that the same TV ESPN announcers who did the Utah USU game will be on again Saturday.

Then again - if they were to do so my wife and I could continue our count of the multiple ways in which you can pronounce Lotuleilei.

We drank far too much of it, deeply and often. I was really scared about the USU game, which made watching the even game even worse-- it was like watching a nightmare come true.

I wish we had been able to keep Jeff Grimes. He's arguably the best OL coach in the country. He's sorely missed.
