I stopped making picks rather than pick against the Utes.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostJudging by the picks this week and against ASU, lots of Utes were still predicting wins.

I think Wynn is done for the season.Originally posted by A-Train View PostWhen does Wynn come back? Is he done or will he make it back this year? If he is done this year, Utah will have a tough time winning another game this year except I still anticipate the Utes mud stomping the Buffaloes as they are UNLV/New Mexico bad."You interns are like swallows. Couple things. CU took Cal into OT. and Utes should take the beavers next week at home.

The CU/CAL game was early and the Buffs have gotten worse. The Utes might be bad on Offense but they at least have a good running game with White and if they limit turnovers and play field position the Utes can play with almost anyone left on their schedule.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostCouple things. Here's White's rushing average against the decent competition they've played this season:
SC - 2.8
UW - 2.5
ASU - 5.0
Pitt - 4.8
Cal - 1.2
That's 3.8 ypc against the decent teams on Utah's schedule. Most of these teams are just decent, not necessarily good and none are great.I'm like LeBron James.

Well this team is the shits. Thankfully the remaining teams we play are shitty too. I predict utah beats osu, colorado and one of the other three (most likely ucla) and plays in the new mexico bowl.

I just got home from the game. I haven't watched the game yet, but my observation is that Utah got destroyed in the trenches. Our OLine was manhandled big time. That stopped the run game and frustrated Hays. Kudos to Cal for playing a very good defensive game. Utah looked atrocious on offense tonight. The beat play of the game was the fake punt. The second best play was the 3rd down conversion early in the 1st quarter.
We had a few gifts from cal penalties. Damn-hell of we didn't blow them each time. It almost seemed like all cal had to do to get the ball back was to commit a 15 yard penalty and then Utah would return the ball to cal by a pick or fumble.

Let's quit putting this on the line. That same line was there when Wynn was playing, and it wasn't half bad. Hays just flat-out sucks and has no business being in a Division 1 stadium as anything more than a fan. Why is this so difficult for Ute fans to accept?Originally posted by OrangeUte View PostI just got home from the game. I blame Chow. He was a terrible hire. They picked him for his knowledge of the Pac12 and all they got was an OC with schemes that every other Pac12 team knows how to beat.
I'd still take BJ. He's got a lot of innate knowledge, and got Wynn to move comfortably in the pocket. They threw Hays at him- an untried commodity with no time for learning how to QB at Div I level, and then get mad that Brian cant turn sh@t into shinola.

Ha! I realized I contradicted myself there. I guess my point was that if Utah can limit turnovers, their defense should be able to keep them in games but we know that based on the offense we have seen the last three weeks, it is going to be really tough. The Beavers rolled WSU last night and if Mannion is given time, he can make plays.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostOkay, you win.
I don't see the Utes going bowling this year. After next week's loss, the question will be if people will stop showing up to the games like they did with basketball last year.

I don't disagree with you about Hays. Not at all. But, 15 yards rushing doesn't all go on Hays or White for that matter. Sacks are a stat you use to evaluate the OLine performance among other things. Hays is simply not playing well and some of that is his skill level. But, thr OLine has not played up to its potential all year.Originally posted by Top Ute View PostLet's quit putting this on the line.
