I feel like this justified what I have been saying about Jeaps all along. A second NFL team sees it in him. If someone can break through his mental block, he might be ok. But so far 5 teams have tried and failed. Maybe it's Uncle Petes turn.
Also he looks to be in good shape for once. No longer pudgy around the midsection.
Seahawks only have 3 qbs including him with Wilson and Trevone Boykin. He might have a shot to stick.

KJR's Mitch Levy interviewed John Schneider this morning and asked about the backup QB situation, e.g. the lack thereof:Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostSeahawks only have 3 qbs including him with Wilson and Trevone Boykin. He might have a shot to stick.
Probably would have a better shot to stick if the GM remembered your name. Doh![...] We signed Josh Heaps yesterday ...

I guess Adams was just offered a mini camp tryout and he is going to both. A tryout with Seattle and then a tryout with Washington.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostSeattle also offered Vernon Adams, I haven't seen if he's going to their camp of the Redskins.
Either way, so many good choices to be the backup for the 12 fans.*Banned*

I will always be a glass half empty kinda guy wrt to Heaps. He shrank when he had every opportunity to rise. yes, the Utah game will always be his One Shitty Moment but it was everything that he did. He transferred (thankfully). End of story.Originally posted by Joe Public View PostI turned on BYUtv a few days ago, and they were replaying a BYU/USU game with Heaps at QB. I watched for only a few minutes, but I saw one of those "wow" throws that he would show in flashes."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

I don't see him sticking because of his size, too bad. If he was 6'3" he'd have gone in the first couple of rounds. Similar to me not getting drafted, size and talent just held me back!Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI guess Adams was just offered a mini camp tryout and he is going to both. Was that the game in which Riley Nelson came in and saved the day with a tipped pass TD?Originally posted by Joe Public View PostI turned on BYUtv a few days ago, and they were replaying a BYU/USU game with Heaps at QB. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
