I guess either I'm a football profit. Or Mormon Red Death just doesn't know what hes talking about. Maybe both.

5-1 if you listened to me.Originally posted by Mormon Red Death View Post4-2 for the week not a bad start
Seriously, USC-Minnesota was the one result this weekend that thrilled me most. Minnesota played exactly like I thought it would, keeping the score close (much closer than I imagined) and forcing Kiffin to play his starters the entire way.
Your monetary considerations aside, a nightmare result would've been SC winning by 30. USC couldn't rest, nor could it build up swagger. Good for Utah.

They were up 19-3 and driving when they had that 30 yard fumble. You cant win them all.Originally posted by Top Ute View Post5-1 if you listened to me.

I spelled wrong on purpose, we are on a thread about gambling.
If its the first, you need to seriously get over yourself.
If it is the Second, are you serious, get over yourself.Last edited by BemidjiCoug; 09-04-2011, 11:59 AM.

alright folks lets get started on week 2 (4-2 last week 66% Goal 55%):
Its an all favorite go of it. One method I like to use is 10-20 point road favorites. They cover ~63% of the time. Also over the last 10 years there are three teams who are 60%+ ATS. They are OHio St., Va Tech and Boise.
Here are my picks:
iowa -6.5
ohio st -19
miss st -7
tulsa -13.5
va tech -19.5
bama -10
temple -15
arkansas -36 (playing @ new mexico)
navy -10
Ga tech -11
Two team teaser of the week
Stanford -15 Mich +9.5
Bonus two team teaser
Cal -.5 Utah +15"Be a philosopher. A man can compromise to gain a point. It has become apparent that a man can, within limits, follow his inclinations within the arms of the Church if he does so discreetly." - The Walking Drum

In general parlays are a suckers bet. You would be better off betting individual games over the course of a season. However i do find putting a low amount (like 20 bucks) on a 3 game parlay when I only bet three games on a given weekend to be fun. My theory is that would hate to miss out on the kicker if I picked all three right. I don't bother with anything over a three game parlay and I never put much money in a parlay.Originally posted by BoylenOver View PostMRD, how do you feel about Stanford -21? I like them a lot I was just taking a lot of road favorites this week and they just missed my system bet (its why I put them in the teaser).Originally posted by BoylenOver View PostMRD, how do you feel about Stanford -21? Also, what is your opinion on parlays?
My opinion on Parlays is about the same as Flystrippers. Although when I go to vegas I always do a $5 12 team parlay as a sort of a lottery ticket who knows maybe I'll get lucky ticket. also its fun when you hook a 3 team parlay for a 6-1 but also the odds arent good.Last edited by Mormon Red Death; 09-08-2011, 08:49 AM."Be a philosopher.
