The conference announced an agreement with Frontier Communications, which has systems in Oregon, Washington and Indiana. So someone in Indiana can receive the network but not someone in Southern California with DirecTV.

USC talent is something Ute fans are going to have to live with as well. I remember thinking something similar 5 years ago. Nebraska played USC in the Coliseum the year before and lost. But this year (2007), Nebraska has USC in Memorial Stadium and the Cornhuskers are much improved. The result? A 49-31 loss where the Trojans could have named the score. And Nebraska crashed and burned while going on a 5-game conference losing streak. The Ute's only hope is that Kiffen pulls a Callahan at USC.

1) What is the coaching link between Lane Kiffen and Bill Callahan?

2) What is the link between Kiffen and Nebraska.

USC is a force of nature, especially on the Los Angeles-Orange County area. I admire that. We're holding our semi-annual family gathering at Newport Beach and I'm always impressed at the number of houses flying USC flags and the people wearing USC gear. (That's true all over the area.) UCLA just doesn't have the same presence. It's been fun to watch for college gear here. Lots of ASU stuff (Arizona people love to come here in the summer and get away from the heat.) So far I've seen every PAC-12 school represented but Arizona and the Oregon schools. But it's only Tuesday.... I saw BYU too.

I was hoping that USC's recent sanctions or Kiffen botching the USC Head Coaching job would slow down the Trojans.
