It looks like one of those articles journalists write when they can't think of anything substantial to write about, so they go off on a weird tangent. I just thought it was an interesting take.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostWeird criteria. I'm trying to figure out what an an auto-bid to a BCS game has to do with amount spent per win. I'm also trying to figure out when all schools outside the Big 6 conference became ineligible for an auto-bid.

Come on, Larry Scott. tick tock tick tock. This network launch will be a failure if you don't secure a distribution deal with the two largest satellite providers in the country.
Has anyone read/heard any updates on this? I don't like all of this silence.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I can't imagine this happening.
I can when the teams on your deal are teams like Wyoming and New Mexico, but USC, UCLA, and Oregon? Makes no sense. Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

It makes sense when you have to buy 7 channels to get access to the football games. And UCLA is not a huge ratings draw especially since they are awful.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostI can't imagine this happening.

I'm just using them as a big name. I know they suck.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostIt makes sense when you have to buy 7 channels to get access to the football games. And UCLA is not a huge ratings draw especially since they are awful.
People wouldn't buy 7 channels would they? I would think the Utah fans would just buy the UU/CU channel and call it good.
Ideally a channel like the mtn would be good to show games all day and ESPN for weeknights and stuff, but I haven't read the ins and outs of their deal.
I think regional channels seems pretty lame. I'd just want one channel to watch most of it.Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

im talking about DirecTV and Dish. that is a lot of spectrum to dedicate to one network. I think that is the concern.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostI'm just using them as a big name. I know they suck.

I had grand plans for the Hotline on Pac-12 football media day, and they were all shoved aside by the morning fog that prevented my flight from landing in Burbank … forced us to Ontario (to refuel) … and ultimately… Continue Reading →
