It is juvenile posts like YOhio's and myboynoah's that make me want to post less in The Stadium. I have noticed that BigFatMeanie has also posted less in The Stadium and cowboy has recently been absent. I can't help but wonder if this is one of the reasons.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I love these demands for the big east. For the big 12? I wish we would negotiate more like tcu and wvu.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostHarmon reports
So are these the same demands BYU had of the Big 12? We really do think our poop doesn't stink.
Also, I take it from this that like the plan for the Big 12, Big East schools sign over their broadcast rights to the conference. Does anyone know if this is correct or not?

If you were negotiating for byu wouldn't this be what you would be going for? They don't want to be stuck in the big east if the AQ goes away. That is understandable. My guess is that they can budge on #1 but #2 is the real deal breaker.BYU was insisting on two things that would never be agreed to by the Big East: (1) BYU wanted to retain the television rights to all BYU home games, and (2) BYU wanted the ability to leave and take all its television rights with them if the Big East lost AQ status, even if the Big East lost it because AQ status was eliminated," the source told the Deseret News.
In essence, BYU wanted to only partially join the Big East and get a preferential exit if they did not like it or things changed. The Big East would not be able to get the existing Big East teams to agree to this scenario, and it is unlikely the new ones would either. Those conditions would also hurt the Big East in television contract renegotiations."Be a philosopher. A man can compromise to gain a point. It's hard for fans who don't have the safety net of claiming two favorite teams. I've tried to "pick" a local college team, but its hard to manufacture passion about a team you have no connection with. TCU? If not for the fact that I hate GP, I coukd go with them. SMU? I'm not an SMU type of guy. UH? I spent two semesters there and hated every minute. Rice? Lol. A&M? Tbeir tradition actually creep me out. UT? I would love to, but it would smack of hopping on the bandwavo. [insert DDD'S Red Sox fan joke here]Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI think a lot of fans share your apathy. It isn't an apathy that results from a detached indifference. On the contrary, it is almost a survival instinct kicking in, after being emotionally invested, the result of mounting frustration, poor communication, no clear vision, and what appears to be a series of really poor strategic decisions. It is an apathy that is necessary to maintain a little sanity in the face of so many head scratching manouvers. I think the fans are getting the shaft in this whole deal and I fully expect many of them to take their investment elsewhere.Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.

I've never been more apathetic. I blew off the last two home games. Something I've probably done maybe a couple times over the past 15 years before that.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostIt's hard for fans who don't have the safety net of claiming two favorite teams. For us Mos, poop has the same range of meanings. Shiz, this conversation is the poop!Originally posted by YOhio View PostNot everything is about you, mbn. Poop has a very precise meaning. It means feces. OTOH, S-H word has different meanings depending on the context. It can mean something is bad (S-Hy), good (the S-H) or feces (S-H).
Unlike BYU's negotiating tactic of threatening to shoot ourselves unless our prospective conferences allow us to shoot ourselves leaves something to be desired.
