The outside world, meaning us normals, have received the message loud and clear, don't deal with the Mormons of BYU.Originally posted by atheistcougar View PostAu contraire, It appears they are doing a bang up job executing bad move after bad bad move."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Apparently. Can't say I blame them, but if all parties could agree to do what is best for football only... I'm dreaming, nevermind. :anger:Originally posted by Topper View PostThe outside world, meaning us normals, have received the message loud and clear, don't deal with the Mormons of BYU.Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. Maybe you're unfamiliar with the history, but CUF's storied success came by poaching CG. So Tex is doing a parody of himself where he shows up only to bitch about the forum while demonstrating he has missed the main point of the discussion?Originally posted by Tone Loc View PostI believe Tex was as well. In that case, he got both you and DDD.
Wow. That is impressive. Bravo, Tex."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Glad to see you back. I thought maybe you'd run off. Glad you were able to express your thoughts on the entanglement of BYU and its sponsoring institution. I have always wondered where you stood on the issue of BYU football and the LDS Church.Originally posted by atheistcougar View PostBYU is run by a bunch of dunderheads that can't be intelligent with this conference alignment shit. Perhaps if they pulled their heads out of their collective asses, they could make a deal that would be in the best interest of the fans and the quality of competition. All this exposure talk is a steaming pile of shit when you consider that exposure in the Big East would be significant. With games broadcasting with local interest to areas that are traditionally mormon sparse, the exposure would be huge for the mormon missionary effort that they all claim to be the #1 purpose for BYU football. So stupid.

Actually, I have no clue who you are or where you came from.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostI wasn't around, as you well know, but how was it dishonest?
I doubt anyone here has an appetite for re-litigating the CG/CUF split, so I'm not going to comment further on it after this post. But to answer your question, I was specifically referring to the announcement of CUF's creation made on CG (that MW even made sticky, I think). IMO, that was below-the-belt.Have we been commanded not to call a prophet an insular racist? Link?

Tex obviously doesn't know the meaning of the word "honest", so you won't get an answer that makes any sense here--you'll likely just get a link to another nonsensical post with the implication that anyone should understand the obvious connection, and if you don't, he has neither the time nor the inclination to bother with you.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostI wasn't around, as you well know, but how was it dishonest?
