My guess is they will add teams with decent football programs. UCF is probably up there. East Carolina is a good pickup I think. They have great attendance at their games. If TCU stays then Houston is a good travel partner and a "good" media market. Southern Miss would be another solid football pickup. Finally, I guess Memphis would do.

does expansion really matter for the Big East? If they lose all their remaining football schools, won't they lose the associated win totals that go towards the score calculation that comes up during the new assessment period? I thought all the conferences are reviewed every so many years by the BCS?Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Everyone thought that last time but they hung on to it. Since they are bringing in TCU that will help. How about this. Lets say it works out that TCU joins the Big12. what if the remaining 6 big east schools join with the 10 MWC for just a football league. They keep their BCS AQ. They have a decent football conference. They remain at 14 for basketball and other sports. They get a championship game (have New Mex and Air Force) play in the big east division. How about this for a scenario.
Navy, Army & AF Join Big East for football. If anyone else leaves they get replaced by east carolina, memphis in that order.
They have an affiliation with the remaining 9 MWC teams for football where they have a championship game to see who goes to a bcs game.
