You do realize that presidents and BOTs make these decisions and not the b-ball coach, right?
Sure but UL has been a basketball first school for a long time. It's going to take a lot of convincing i suspect as to why they should leave the best hoops league in the country when football can arguably not get worse with the new BEast lineup.
Glad to be back. I missed me. Dabrockster isn't a very good replacement eeyore.
He gives it a good effort, though.

To jump to arguably the 2nd best B-ball conference and a football conference that might as well be the NFL compared to the Least?

KU and UL in the same league is a pretty good thing. Its easier than playing their current spate of bball conference foes for UL, and the KU program is every bit as good as anything in the BE.
Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

crazy how Pitt and Syracuse (two damn good hoops programs) just up and left the best basketball league in the country.

Big East took a hit in hoops with Syracuse, Pitt and probably WVU leaving. ACC might make a case for the best hoops conference now. The Big East is better than the Big 12 in hoops, but not by THAT much and even for a school like Louisville football brings in more money to the school. If Louisville is offered a Big12 lifeline I bet they take it.
I'm ignoring this thread. I don't even want to acknowledge this as a possibility.
It's like a cancer though, ignoring it doesn't make it go away.

The silver lining is that it's still a good basketball conference, though losing Syracuse, Pitt and WVU means you've lost three of your top 7 basketball schools. You still have UConn, Louisville, Georgetown, Villanova, Cincy and a resurgent St. Johns is still a really good core. The problem is that BYU would be relegated to the uber-shitty western part of the conference, so it's not like BYU would be playing the powerhouse east coast teams twice a year.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
What I enjoy most about Viking's ever changing predictions, is that he absolutely believes them. Not like SU, who just makes up crap to argue with.
