  • Can you imagine being in a conference with:

    BSU (good)
    SDSU (blah)
    SMU (uggggghhhh)
    Houston (meh)
    Memphis (despicable)
    Temple (temple??????)

That's what they are thinking as far as divisions. Why would anyone want that?

Memphis wouldnt be in your division. They would just be your permanent cross over game.

Look on the bright side. We would get to travel even further across the country for all the glory and glamour we had in the Mountain West Conference.

No, that would be the Western Division. Once Navy joins, they would replace Temple in the Western Division.

It is disgusting and unacceptable. BYU is smarter than that.

The Red Division would consist of Louisville, South Florida, Connecticut, San Diego State, SMU, Navy and Memphis. The Blue Division: Cincinnati, Central Florida, Rutgers, Boise State, Houston, Temple and the 14th team.

Each team would play six league games within its division and two games against the other division, including one permanent cross-division rival game. Those annual cross-division matchups would be: Louisville-Cincinnati, USF-UCF, UConn-Rutgers, San Diego State-Boise State, SMU-Houston, Navy-Temple and Memphis versus the 14th team.

Nobody is going to convince Mormon Red Death that this isn't the thing he wants for BYU.

Everything I see is geographical divisions. Where do you see that (crap)?

edit... nevermind. I found it. Still garbage.

                • Lest yall forget, these athletes are students. Playoffs would seriously hurt the academic side of things. As someone who has had lots and lots of athletes in my classes, the football guys get worn down by exams time. The amount of class they can miss due to injuries is not unsubstantial.

You know it's a bad idea when all the Utah fans think it's a great one.
