    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

All 4 of the football schools (I use that term very lightly) have been linked with desires to jump conferences....Rutgers and UConn to the ACC, Louisville and Cincinatti to the B12. Admittedly, Cinci rumors have been very few and far between, but your point is accurate. The Big East is dead.

The current Big East basketball schools would be wise to disassociate themselves from that horrible brand name. Take off and form a really solid hoops conference.....call themselves the East Coast Conference

McMurphy says it's either BYU or Temple as the BEAST #12.

BYU or Temple RT @d1owls4life: @McMurphyCBS Temple as school #12 to complete expansion?

I don't know what the final outcome is but I posted a week ago that the B12 had better be prepared to not have BYU in its conference.

We'll see about this. I think there's more to it than meets the eye, including bball + a ND tie-in in fball (1x1s for 3-4 years).

I am so fed up with the B12 and this nonsense w/ WVU, I wouldn't mind if BYU flipped the B12 the bird, which could very well happen very soon.

Well, it looks like they're taking your advice to heart.

OK, we are talking Beast seriously. We get basically all we want. We stay WCC for at least two years but start scheduling BEAST OOC next year.

ND football tie-in w/us not Beast.

Don't know how to handicap it, but BYU + BSU + east coast bias = AQ retention, hence a lot of willingness to move.

                So long, B12.

I've come to realize the shorcomings of Independence, but I don't know how I feel about this latest possibility. I wouldn't be interested at all if it didn't bring basketball, and even then the geography conerns me.

Dude, this is the best we're gonna get and I don't know that we even really want B12 any more. What WVU has done looks very dicey.

Our timing is the only thing I think is uncertain...I wouldn't expect an announcement with the other teams as that diminishes the BEast's perceived credibility to try to hold WVU to its commitment, but it could still happen (early annoucenment).

I'm so underwhelmed by this. I'd rather stay independent that tie ourselves to a 27 month wait and join a weak ass conference with CUSA and MWC left overs. If stability was a concern with the Big 12, then the Big Least should not even be on the radar.
Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

They really will. We are 10x the program that WVU is. UL is not going to the B12, either.

                          The B12 did, indeed, lose.

What happens to basketball and other sports after 2 years in WCC? No way we're accepted as a full member in Big East (and I doubt we'd want to be).

When you say "we" got all we want, what exactly do you mean? Because I wanted to be in the Big 12 and didn't want BYU to be in the crappiest BCS conference with all the other sports orphaned in a California high school league. I appreciate your efforts at putting a positive spin on this potential development. I really do. I'm just not seeing it.
