Getting a kick out of the BYU fans here saying Langi's running style is going to doom him.

I guess you guys didn't want him anyway...

I'm sure it was as much of a concern for BYU fans when BYU was recruiting him.... and USC... and UCLA....and Stanford....and Washington.

This must be a recent concern.

Also, I don't see Utah coaches here taking some sort of satisfaction in his poor running style. Just BYU fans. So I'm addressing them. The ones posting in this thread.

Sure. Add Utah to the list of concerned parties.

I'm sure he's loaded with talent -- that's why he had all those offers. But apparently he needs to work on his technique. The same can probably be said to one degree or another about every HS recruit.

Oh, sure, but how many times do you see "rival fans" making bets that those same HS recruits will have 2 concussions during the upcoming season?

Calm down dude. That's what rival fans do. Tear you down and build themselves up.

Dios mio, I hope Harvey has a long and successful career followed by a fruitful post football life. Mentioning that his current running style, which was not an issue due to his relatively exceptional athleticism in high school, is not suited well to college football should not be confused with me crucifying a Harvey Langi voodoo doll at night. This is a silly thing to be upset about, and it's nuts to assume that any reasonable BYU fan did not want him in Provo is year.

It's not like this is an uncalled for character assassination. Langi's running style needs reform for him to be effective. Your coaching staff agrees with me. Shakerin was the same way, and LSU recognized that when they pulled his offer after watching him play at Alta.

An upright running style in an 18 year-old is not correctable?

What do you expect fans to do when opposing fans tear down their team? Nod and say, "Absolutely..."???

Only with proper coaching. And so on and so forth.

I'm pretty calm. Your meltdowns are pretty well documented over several different boards. This is a very minor criticism, one that you could have let roll of your back. Instead you chose to "refuse to roll over." I like you PU and I don't want to see you get worked up over random posts that have nothing to do with a player's actual talent.

Bias is evident in media -- sports and non-sports -- everywhere. The idea that the local sports media is somehow not biased is hilarious.
