Is there a camera lens out there in existence wide enough to get all of Victor's primary asset in the same photo?

      • This is pretty bush league by Utah:

In another bit of recruiting news, it appears the Utes have given former offensive coordinator Norm Chow a nice going away present.
Kiha Sai, an offensive lineman who was one of Utah's first commitments for 2012, has switched his commitment to Hawaii.

Sai, whose older brother is current Ute Kapua Sai, was told by the Utes he might want to look elsewhere once the Utes were so successful in recruiting higher rated linemen. Keeping Sai, who is from Honoulu, at home will be a big deal for Chow, who has said all along recruiting Hawaiian players will be crucial for him as he builds his program.

Depends on whether or not his scholarship was actually pulled or if he was just informed that he wasn't going to get any playing time.

            I can agree with that.

Sai was asked to grey shirt. He was advised to check around if he felt that wasn't what he wanted, at that point he decommitted, visited both Hawaii and SDSU and the rest is written.

The funny twist is that Chow was the one that asked him to greyshirt in the first place.

              • I think Whitt, Chow and Davis figured out early on that they needed to bolster Utah's offensive line in order to compete in the PAC-12. That was clearly one of the glaring problems all year long. I like who they've picked up so far, and hope they can land a few other big bodies. With Cullen and Bergstrom departing there should be opportunities to play right away.

I also like who they've picked up at QB, that should help in future years. I think the only other spot where Utah needs immediate help is at linebacker. For whatever reason, Utah has a history of not being able to attract talented linebackers. It seems the Utes are always plugging guys in from QB or bulking up Safeties. The DL and DB's look solid, wish we could get a little more success getting some LB's. We consistently seem pretty average at that spot.

                  nice article on Sharrief.

Whitt seems content on filling coaching positions with former Utah players:

                  Morgan Scalley
                  Brian Johnson
                  Tim Davis
                  Norm Chow

There sure does seem to be a pattern. (I do recognize a blinding flash of the obvious now and then!) I don't know what to make of it, unless it is just Whit really wans guys who want to be in Utah and are unlikely to leave.

                      • So since I couldn't find a 2012 Utes thread and this thread seemingly is that, looks like the Utah/Utah State in Logan on September 7th (Friday) will be on ESPN2.

That means every Utah game will be on national TV.

Also, I didn't realize that game was on Friday. That makes me really happy.
