Harmon just tweeted that Dan Hawkins was in attendance for practice and also attended all meetings. New coach?

I'm more excited about spring camp than the hoop game this Thursday. Can't wait to read some reports from today.

Drew tweeting like crazy. Lots of things we already knew. Gaines out. Phillips and Jray out because of academics but could participate tomorrow if they get caught up. Stout out for a week for violating team rules. Keoshian transferring to play closer to home. Heaps clear cut starter per Bronco. Kahaiali'i out with ruptured pec from lifting. Already had surgery. Will miss spring ball.

Stats from BYU team session: Heaps 8 of 10 for 64 yards. Lark 3 of 4 for 53 yards. Nelson 2 of 3 for 10 yards.

And I'm not going to be the least bit surprised when Riley isn't even the backup by the end of the season. He's awful.

Bronco says RB coach Joe DuPaix is full speed all the time..."I haven't seem him walk yet...trying to get him to sit down is quite a chore."

Very impressed with Ross Apo, RB David Foote, DBs Preston Hadley, Buckner, Jordon Johnson. Hype from previous weeks holding up.

Uona Kaveinga as a middle linebacker is like a watchman, a controller, a vocal leader and QB for the defense. Sees things, calls it out.

Jake Heaps solidly the starter. James Lark had a nice long pass in team segment. Buckner and Johnson had nice picks off Heaps, Lark

Saw this on Johson.

Defensive back coach Nick Howell said Johnson exemplified that determination on the scout team as a redshirt freshman.

“Jordan played hard on scout team all year,” Howell said. “Some guys get put on the scout team as a redshirt and don’t compete. He was making interceptions, getting his hands on balls, tackling guys. … The biggest testament to that is when I would come in from practice every day [multiple coaches] would say ‘Jordan Johnson is going to be a special player.’”

Dave Rose talked about this, and also Dave Rice. Coaches get close to other coaches and ask them to attend practice and give their opinions.

Rose is close to that coach from Arizona. Which is why he was so complimentary of BYU when his team lost to BYU.

While you hate to see players transfer, Keoshian seemed like he was just behind a ton of guys. I'm sure he wanted to play, but he wasn't getting burn at LB and FB didn't look much more promising either IMO.
