I know I don't, Utah would gain nothing from playing Boise in that game. I'd rather them send over a Big 12 team."They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.
Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Yes, let BSU knock the crap out of the children of the corn in the Fiesta Bowl. I am losing faith that O(S)U will do it in the Big 12 championship game. At least Texas beat them.Originally posted by DrumNFeather View PostI know I don't, Utah would gain nothing from playing Boise in that game. Wasn't last year's Fiesta the lowest rated game?Originally posted by Jacob View PostBoise consistently brings better TV audience and a better game to BCS bowls than other at-large teams. I'll bet that #3 Boise does not get left out.

The ratings were average when compared to the other BCS games Fox has aired. I don't know how they ranked against the other BCS games that year.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostWasn't last year's Fiesta the lowest rated game?

Espn's bowl projections Have TCU playing Oregon and Auburn playing Boise st in the Sugar Bowl. This would mean that Auburn loses to Bama but win the SEC champ game. If that were the case LSU would move to 4th in BCS and would have to go to a bcs game. Additionally if the above was the National champ game. The rosebowl would get the first pick (they lose Oregon) and would assuredly pick Stanford. The Sugar would then pick. They would take Boise St over the Big 10 runner up (presumably Ohio st)? Or what if Oklahoma wins out? that would leave an at large Nebraska in the mix as well. I can't see the sugar selecting boise st over either of those teams. That would then leave Orange to choose between LSU and the Big East winner. The one they don't choose (most likely the big east champ) would play the big12 winner in the fiestaLast edited by Mormon Red Death; 11-19-2010, 01:07 PM."Be a philosopher. Not in a million years would the Sugar Bowl take Boise State ahead of Ohio State, Nebraska or Oklahoma provided it had the option of choosing between them.Originally posted by Mormon Red Death View PostEspn's bowl projections Have TCU playing Oregon and Auburn playing Boise st in the Sugar Bowl. I like the idea of playing Tennessee. That's a team not likely to get on the schedule any time soon and they could get an up close look at what they missed out on with Whit.Originally posted by Top Ute View PostI'd rather have Clemson or North Carolina State in Shreveport, but that's just me being greedy.

Doubt that Boise St. has the boots to do it. However, I also thought that back in 2006 but Boise St. hardly "knocked the crap" out of OU. The Blackshirts (Nebraska's defense) are good enough to keep the Huskers in any game...including Oregon. A lot of football is left and Nebraska still has to play a couple of ranked teams: Texas A&M and OU/OSU.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostYes, let BSU knock the crap out of the children of the corn in the Fiesta Bowl. I'd be surprised if an undefeated Boise St. gets left out of the BCS but it's possible with at-large invites to Stanford, tOSU, LSU, and TCU.“Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory.”
