I'll still watch the games, but I don't want to invest the extra time to go to the stadium to watch us run qb draws all day.

The only thing that makes me feel any better is that AFA gets a win on September 11th.
That's a question I have been mulling over today. What exactly does the AFA have to do with 9/11?

DIDN'T YOU SEE THE AMERICAN FREAKING FLAG LIGHTNING BOLTS? That's what it has to do with 9/11.

Saying that I frequently say that whenever I hear about BYU's receiving corps I am usually skeptical.
Remember a few weeks ago when Dick Harmon was writing columns telling us how this might be the best BYU receiving corps in history? Nice call, Dick.

He was just repeating what he read on CB.

I don't want to sound too negative, but Chambers isn't a sure handed WR.

I will be disappointed if they don't bench Ashworth and Chambers. It's time to build for the future. Play some one, any one other than those two. Of course, maybe there is no one else?

He's Rod Wilkerson minus the speed.

Bryan kariya- 7 carries for 21 yards do not give him the damn ball.
Agree on all points, but especially on this. I keep wondering the entire second half why no touches for Diluigi?

Good job that has to be good for Heaps confidence knowing he was benched for that.

                    • Anybody catch that turnaround by Kansas today? Lost to South Dakota community college (or whatever) last week and this week they knock off #15 Georgia Tech. Incredible. There is hope for us next week.

                      • Bronco just stated that he did not decide whether Riley or Heaps would play in the 2nd half. He said that he would need to talk to Doman and Anae to determine why they made the decisions they did.

Yeah, Heaps didn't have a great first half, but Nelson wasn't exactly lighting it up either.

You are still way to high on the OL. They were maybe average last week, in a kind grading system. They were awful this week. Why was there pressure on Heaps? He wasn't holding the ball.
To be fair we had 34 carries for 221 yards a 6.5 yard average with a qb that is completely inept at throwing the ball. So they stacked the box and knew we were running yet we still ended up with great numbers.

Also I remember 1 maybe two sacks and even those may not go down as sacks since they might have been designed runs.

Crazy day of games, how about Denard Robinson of Michigan, 23-40 240 yards and 1 td passing. 28 carries 258 yards and 2 tds rushing.

Give him the Heisman right now.

                              • When Goat, Viking and SU are the voices of reason I know the natives are taking this hard.

I was going to comment on Steven Thomas playing perhaps the worst game at safety for BYU since I don't know who. He was terrible at reading the guards for pass or run. His angles on run support were way too sharp leading, he is a terrible one on one tackler, and gets lost in pass coverage. Other than that...

It was tough to tell because of TV angles and I was fast-forwarding every time AFA was on offense and shoving it down the defenses throat but Bradley seemed like he was very weak on run support. He often seems to be in good position but lunges too much on tackles leading to easily broken arm tackles.

Before the first snap I had already declared this the year of Jimmer, so I'm just hoping this season doesn't turn into a Crowton-like meltdown. Barring that, I'm expect big losses to FSU and TCU and a few ups and downs along the way. Unless Heaps matures a ton and the defense learns to play assignment football our last game in the MWC will probably be a defeat in SLC.
