Absolutely. What's so controversial about that?

Don't worry, they're planning on a (mostly) full schedule from the Big 12.

I just think it is asking a lot. Even non-BCS teams have their conference games during those weeks. When you have to fill a 12 game schedule every year, I think BYU should take decent teams when they can get them. Houston is a decent team.

For the first six weeks of the season, we have better options than a home and home with a non-BCS. It shouldn't even be considered. The last six games are where we have to get creative.

It shouldn't be a matter of BCS or non-BCS, it is good program vs bad program. Houston is decent, so its a good deal. Better than scheduling bottom tier BCS teams, IMO.

you should change that to we should not we have. It worries me we have scheduled a grand total of one 1-1 (2-2 technically) with a BCS team not named Utah.

                  • This was my biggest fear against going Indy and the biggest reason I want the Big 12 even if it is risky. Schools not named Notre Dame have a very difficult time putting together independent schedules.

Well if we don't have better options than a home and home with Houston in the first half of the season, then we truly are f***ed. This independent thing is not going to work out.

It is interesting that only really Notre Dame is scheduled late in the season on these future schedules. Maybe they know something as well.

Or is it that just like BYU, Notre Dame needs to find games later in the season as well?

Word. Navy has only five home games this year, although Army is being played at FedEx Field. It's remaining home schedule consists of Delaware, Air Force, Troy, East Carolina and Southern Miss.
