Translation:Originally posted by Top Ute View PostIf BYU ends up playing five teams that make bowls in 2011 like Utah's 2004 team did, or the four Top 25 teams Utah did in 2008, I'll concede BYU had a schedule that was better than weak, just like DDD is trying to do before the fact.
The criteria I previously set forth reveal that BYU's 2011 schedule appears to bey more difficult than Utah's 2004 schedule appeared before that season. Accordingly, I am changing the criteria by which schedule difficulty is measured, and I hereby reserve the right to make further changes in the future in order to establish that BYU's 2011 schedule is weaker than Utah's 2004 schedule.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

For the record, I never yell down in front. As a matter of fact I once told a guy who pushed my son down into his seat, my son has my permission to kick the shit out of him if he touches him again.Originally posted by BlueHair View PostYou also won't have to yell, "Down in front!" to all the youngsters standing up in front of you at the stadium.
I also once told a lady who was telling my boys how much she paid for her seats that she paid a lot of money to come and look at my boys butts.
I may be old, but I am not a down in front guy.

Why is playing bowl teams anything to hang your hat on? That's only .500. Utah's schedule this year wasn't anything to sniff at and you played 5 bowl teams this year not including Boise. That awesome schedule gives you 66th in the country. For some perspective, BYU played 7 bowl teams this year not including UTEP. Would anyone consider this year's schedule, particularly at home awesome?Originally posted by Top Ute View PostIf BYU ends up playing five teams that make bowls in 2011 like Utah's 2004 team did, or the four Top 25 teams Utah did in 2008, I'll concede BYU had a schedule that was better than weak, just like DDD is trying to do before the fact."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

66th in terms of the national landscape is nothing to brag about. But when you're saddled with the UNMs and UNLVs every year, 66th by MWC standards is pretty decent.Originally posted by Surfah View PostWhy is playing bowl teams anything to hang your hat on? With rare exception (1994 and 2008 being most prominent), I wouldn't carry Utah's SOS arguments into SEC or Pac-10 territory. That comes next year.

I guess that was easier already having the seventh home game as well. Are season tickets more with the extra game?Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostYes, but the decided against it. They could only schedule an FCS team and one is enough."The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

Five tough games (six if you include UCF), and four are on the road. Not conducive to a BCS run.Originally posted by cougjunkie View Post7 home and 5 road games with a stretch in there of 4 in a row at home I like it."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay
