Utah's 2004 team played 2 teams that went to bowls in 2003: CSU and New Mexico (who lost by 41 points in their bowl).

Also, Utah's 2004 out-of-conference schedule was 11-37 in 2003.

Why is playing bowl teams anything to hang your hat on? That's only .500. Utah's schedule this year wasn't anything to sniff at and you played 5 bowl teams this year not including Boise. That awesome schedule gives you 66th in the country. For some perspective, BYU played 7 bowl teams this year not including UTEP. 66th in terms of the national landscape is nothing to brag about. But when you're saddled with the UNMs and UNLVs every year, 66th by MWC standards is pretty decent.

With rare exception (1994 and 2008 being most prominent), I wouldn't carry Utah's SOS arguments into SEC or Pac-10 territory. That comes next year.

Individual prices are the same, but yeah, one extra game makes season tix more pricy.

Five tough games (six if you include UCF), and four are on the road. Not conducive to a BCS run.
