One of the Assistant ADs at Ole Miss was the Bishop of the Oxford, MS ward in the late 90's and early 00's. It would be a tough match up but one that I think BYU could win.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostAnyone know if there is any truth to the Ole Miss vs BYU for a first game next year?Do Your Damnedest In An Ostentatious Manner All The Time!

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

Washington, Nevada, and SDSU are more interesting/higher-quality than everyone on the 2011 schedule except for Utah. I don't buy that.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostIt really is no different from this season. ANybody basing their opinion on independent scheduling based on the home schedule for 2011 is acting prematurely. It will take a few years to get this up and running. If BYU's home schedule looks like this for 2-3 years in a row 5 years from now, then I think ti is safe to say it is a problem.PLesa excuse the tpyos.

The good news for BYU and their fans is that they get 7 home games. The bad news is that the home schedule might be one of the worst I have ever seen.Originally posted by BoylenOver View Posta home schedule of Utah, UCF, Utah St, Idaho, San Jose St, New Mexico St, and Idaho St. How much are season tickets?!"Take it to the Bank"

You are speaking ex post facto. Nevada looked like a crap game going into the season as did sdsu. Sdsu is never a draw on your home schedule. Washington was an anticipated game, so in the upcoming season, switch that out for Utah, which will be even more anticipated, and there you go...better than this season.Originally posted by BoylenOver View PostWashington, Nevada, and SDSU are more interesting/higher-quality than everyone on the 2011 schedule except for Utah. There were a lot of people looking forward to the Nevada game because of BYU's 2002 trip to Reno. Even when you exclude Nevada's ranking going into the game and their 11-1 performance on the season, they were an interesting opponent.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostYou are speaking ex post facto. Even comparing the crap games, UNLV and New Mexico are more competitive and interesting than SJSU and New Mexico St."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay

UCF is correct? What is the other one that will be on Friday night? Not trying to be a dick here but Thursday night has become a pretty big night for college football. Other than UCF and Utah, non of those match-ups are worthy to be on ESPN for Thursday night football.Originally posted by LiveCoug View Post2 of our 7 home games are already scheduled for a Friday. I fear that ESPN will require at least 2 more for Thursday or Friday, meaning the majority of our home games will be non saturday games. I hope not, but I can see it."Take it to the Bank"

Utah State is the other Friday game. I'm ok with that cause that is a tradition.Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostUCF is correct? What is the other one that will be on Friday night? Is that game being played the Friday before conference again? For some reason I thought the UCF game was going to be that Friday night next year.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostUtah State is the other Friday game. I'm ok with that cause that is a tradition."Take it to the Bank"
