You need to let Pershing and Hill know these important facts.Originally posted by Top Ute View PostThere are no minuses to playing BYU, unless you think we need to do everything possible to eliminate the element of our fan base who uses their Utah fanhood as a crutch to air their grievances against the LDS church and Mormons in general.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

As a college football fan who is somewhat neutral on the whole BYU-Utah rivalry, I agree with the above comment. BYU provides Utah with a decent OOC game and one that will always sell out and continue to generate local and some national interest. The downside is that Utah probably won't want to schedule another challenging OOC game against a Big 12 or Big Ten opponent. I could see the Utes not wanting to schedule BYU when the whole PAC-12 - Big Ten alliance was being planned because it could mean Utah playing BYU and then someone like Nebraska in the same season which could further jeopardize the Utes bowl chances. But since the PAC-12-Big Ten scheduling agreement did not materialize, I don't see why Utah would not want to schedule BYU other than issuess with "Utah fanhood" or attempting to marginalize BYU.Originally posted by Top Ute View PostThere are no minuses to playing BYU, unless you think we need to do everything possible to eliminate the element of our fan base who uses their Utah fanhood as a crutch to air their grievances against the LDS church and Mormons in general.“Not the victory but the action. Those are the two years they aren't playing byu.Originally posted by Paperback Writer View PostAs a college football fan who is somewhat neutral on the whole BYU-Utah rivalry, I agree with the above comment. And a home and home with Fresno those same two years. That's where the speculation on intent comes from. If you are trying to dumb down the schedule or get an extra home game, why schedule Fresno?Originally posted by Mormon Red Death View PostIt did materialze for a little bit as Utah has a home and home with Michigan. Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

When we were in Philadelphia I had a cousin playing football for Michigan. When Michigan came to Penn State we made the trip. Huge crowd and a great gameday atmosphere. Definitely recommended. Be aware that getting in and out of Happy Valley can take a while.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostLots of Penn State rumors on CB today. At least isn't isn't a 1-1, I'm more interested in seeing us play Nevada than MTSU.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostYay, I guess.Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.
