I've got a couple of kick-ass road trips in November next year.

I didn't say I expected similar schedules going forward, only that I'd love to see them. That said, who knows what the future will bring?

Good grief, man. It's a good schedule. Celebrate it, even if it won't be this good from here to eternity. We all know Independence sucks, but there are bright sides to it.

Too many MWC teams after that.

You want the MWC. Think about this.

I maybe able to hit Wisconsin as a business trip. I'm looking forward to that.

That would be the best of both worlds: the season would be over by week 2 AND there would be a conference championship up for grabs that we would never have a hope in hell of winning.

I admire your optimism. But I can't get over the fact that you can have 4-5 compelling games every year, and a conference slate.

For example, keep the good 2013 games and add us into the MWC:

                      Texas
                      ND
                      Nebraska
                      Utah
                      Boise
                      Utah State
                      Hawaii
                      Air Force
                      UNLV
                      Wyoming
                      Houston
                      SDSU

Bottom line, we can have a decent schedule and still be in a conference.

                      • So, I guess I am fired up about more games than most. I must be a homer. Here is my game by game break down:

                        Aug. 31 at Virginia
                        - Awesome. Good location to play and will get some buzz going early with a win.

                        Sept. 7 Texas-
                        - Awesome, and I will add 4 exclamations !!!! Feel that pep?

                        Sept. 14 BYE
                        - A sign Bronco wants to win the Utah game this year???

                        Sept. 21 Utah
-Good. In the long run, I'd like to see this game only outside of the Pacs OOC game slots. That does not look like it's going to happen, so I hope BYU wins and kills the series. Yeah, and I want Santa dead too.

                        Sept. 27 Middle Tennessee State
-Good. It's more interesting than Colorado State. Gotta win this one though if the BYU brand is going to be built up.

                        Oct. 4 at Utah State
-Good, but only because they are 2:1 in Provo. 1:1 and it would be mildly disappointing. Must win. I think this game will get easier post Gary A.

                        Oct. 12 Georgia Tech
-Awesome. I can't believe how jaded we are getting if we don't think this is a really fun game to have on the schedule.

                        Oct. 19 at Houston
-Good. This is a respectable team in a different location. Gotta win this one.

                        Oct. 26 Boise State
Awesome. They have a national name.

                        Nov. 2 BYE
                        Nice time to rest

                        Nov. 9 at Wisconsin
                        Awesome.

                        Nov. 16 Idaho State
The body bag game. In an ideal world this would be the opening game, or early.

                        Nov. 23 at Notre Dame
                        Awesome.

                        Nov. 30 at Nevada
                        Great 2:1 pick up.

Summary: Amazing work TH. Give that guy a raise. Also, I am not sure if BYU would want to keep scheduling quite this hard in the future. I love it though.

I like 1 cream puff anyway. Late in the year, I hope they use it to develop some depth and get some special team seniors touchdowns. If it was earlier in the year, it gives the team a nice tune up.

It makes me a bad person and fan, but I think I will always love to watch BYU pummel a bad team once a year.

Was this Wazzu? Or was that long gone before this last round of scheduling?

                              • I'm pretty excited about the schedule next year. I may drive out to Reno depending on how work goes. Would like Notre Dame to come out here at some point.

Tom said wait 2 years and it'd be good. I'm impressed.
