Eldon Fortie's 200-something rushing yards simply weren't enough.

The reason I asked initially was because the night the "neutral" FSU game was played (we lost while scoring but 3 points) I distinctly remember them announcing BYU's record East of the Mississippi and it wasn't good. We have a lot more wins than I was remembering though as I had thought the stat was like 4-21 or something like that.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostTulane in 2009.
How many times has BYU lost east of the Mississippi?
BC, Miami, FSU, Alabama, the Liberty Bowl (Tulane), the Motor City Bowl (Marshall). Any more?

Looks like it's more something like 9-10, unless Indy can find some other pre-1970 BYU forays across the Mighty Mississippi.Originally posted by Blueintheface View PostThe reason I asked initially was because the night the "neutral" FSU game was played (we lost while scoring but 3 points) I distinctly remember them announcing BYU's record East of the Mississippi and it wasn't good. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

This is old and might have been brought up somewhere on here, but have you seen this clip of Cowherd talking about BYU and getting shunned by bowls?

Cowherd is the king of hyperbole, but it makes you wonder. I keep hearing fans chatter about BYU maybe getting deals with the Holiday or Fiesta Bowls. Most likely wishful thinking. But I would really like to see something different with the bowl arrangement.

My scorecard shows a 10-19 record for BYU East of the Mississippi River during the Lavell Edwards era and onward:Originally posted by myboynoah View PostLooks like it's more something like 9-10, unless Indy can find some other pre-1970 BYU forays across the Mighty Mississippi.

2013 Hawaii game moved to December 7. I like it.

With the game at Hawaii, BYU could have a 13 game schedule if they wanted to. They didn't want to in 2011, but given their scheduling options on short notice, I'm not sure the 13th game was going to be much better than 2/3rds of what they already had lined up.Originally posted by atheistcougar View PostI really look forward to two BYEs in November again...

Alabama turns done H and H series with Wisconsin. So I guess Wisconsin has an opening? Alabama had apparently been interested in a neutral site game with the Badgers, probably in the south.
According to Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez, an effort was made, with the cooperation of ESPN, to organize a game between the Tide and Badgers at a neutral site but after Wisconsin head coach Brett Bielema proposed instead that the two teams play a two-game, home-and-home series, Saban declined the offer.

I can't wait for the Utes to point out this is a 2-1, just like Texas.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostLocal radio reporting BYU and Utah have come to an agreement to play 2013 in Provo and 2016 in SLC...
Gonna be weird in 14 and 15 with no utah game.
