TCU in the SEC just makes a lot more sense to me than TCU in the Big 12. TCU, while they have great football and baseball programs, doesn't really add a lot to the Big 12 footprint and recruiting like it does for the SEC. Jerry Jones, being a hog (he played on the Arkansas national championship team), most likely likes it as well and may even be helping to push it. The SEC already has the aTm/Arkansas game at JerryWorld now. I could see some SEC TCU games getting scheduled in JerryWorld (like vs. Arkansas and/or vs. LSU) as well.Originally posted by nikuman View PostI actually like this idea. TCU in the B12 would be fine with me too. TCU in the Big East made no sense, but, then again, nothing has made sense lately."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

Yep, and Ben Johnson won the 100m in the 1988 Olympics.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostOf course it counts. A vacated win is not the same as a game not counting.
Eddie jones is now also a moran.

TCU in the B12 makes no sense for reasons SU would never grasp. TCU has one running back and one coach to its credit. The running back is dead and the coach will go to the NFL one day. But TCU in the SEC makes no sense. This is the SEC, the biggest baddest football conference in college. They could almost have whomever they want and they want TCU?Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostTCU in the SEC just makes a lot more sense to me than TCU in the Big 12. TCU to SEC is all the SEC has left! Who do you think the SEC can grab?Originally posted by Moliere View PostBut TCU in the SEC makes no sense. This is the SEC, the biggest baddest football conference in college. They could almost have whomever they want and they want TCU?
BTY-I think that TCU to the SEC is great for both TCU and BYU.
TCU adds nothing to the BIG 12- That is a market that UT and OU both control with TCU and SMU coming in way behind...
The reason the B12 is looking outside of the State of Texas is because too localized of a footprint killed the SWC and was squeezing the BIG 8. Neither of us could get they type of money the networks were throwing at the PAC/SEC/ACC/B1G. That is why you can pretty much rule out any rumor of a Texas team joining the B12.

I guess it makes more sense to me for them to pick up WVU or Pitt, but I did find out last night that TCU is a growing campus so maybe the SEC is looking to the future on this one. I agree TCU to the Big 12 makes no sense. I'd prefer Houston over TCU, but even Houston has little to no fan base and horrible facilities.Originally posted by Gaffords View PostTCU to SEC is all the SEC has left!
