You're saying BYU needs to hold out for a better offer?Originally posted by myboynoah View PostBack to the Big 12, I still question its stability even if TX and OK stay home. What happens next year? How committed is MO? That isn’t the greatest place for BYU to land.
Sorry, I don't see one out there.

OU either wants in on the LHN or wants to pressure ESPN into a similar type of setup as Texas has.Originally posted by SteelBlue View PostThis PAC-16 talk is all BS. Again. The thing I can't figure out is what the desired result is supposed to be.At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

No, even SU agrees that the UofU is a poor man's UW. If you think about it that way, it's probably a homeless man's UW to most people.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostI agree the list is even shittier than the list put out by the University of Sri Lanka that has Arizona State and Utah ranked higher than Cal Tech and some of the Ivys.
But where are getting this stuff about Utah being anything close to UW? UW supposedly has a top 10 research med school. Utah's is couple spots ahead of South Carolina's (thus substantiating my theory about the Cocks and Utes being educationally linked). I need to spend some time around UW's campus to determine where you're getting the linkage. Are there a lot of muffin tops and guys with bad facial hair that reminds you of the Utah student body? Do they have buildings that remind you of something you'd find on a Cal State campus?
Mark Grace can you comment on this? Has my imagination overrated UW?So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Sorry, I don't see one out there.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

This raises a question. Is BYU a poor man's Notre Dame, Boston College, Baylor, or Oral Roberts? There are so many parallels, it's hard to pick the most fitting ones.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostNo, even SU agrees that the UofU is a poor man's UW. Why on earth would the PAC-12 go for a 16-team conference with Kansas and Mizzou?Originally posted by dixdog View PostGreg Swaim says if Texas doesn't go to the PAC-12, then Kansas and Mizzou will go.

Oh, you mean the one entitled "Is Utah anything more than a commuter school w/ a good med school?" Such an inviting thread. What Utah supporter wouldn't run over there to participate in the discussion?Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostCan we please put the Utah and academic bullshit in the other thread.
Much appreciated.
I will stop responding to posts here about that subject, anyway.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

Exactly.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostI don't see how that adds to TV money at all. Just more mouths to feed.
This is stupid.
When people start posing scenarios involving a Pacific Athletic Conference adding Missouri, you'd think people would start seeing just how silly this OU to the PAC 12 business is. Larry Scott is getting played. Again. At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah
