This is my favorite post so far in this thread. The silence last year was deafening."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I was going to say...I'm really enjoying reading comments from Nebraska, Kansas and Mizzou fans that come here to plead with BYU to save them and their conference. Meanwhile, Texas is sweetening the deal to further entice us.Originally posted by Moliere View PostThis is my favorite post so far in this thread. The silence last year was deafening.
BYU is clearly in the drivers seat, as both Texas and OU need BYU in order to save the TV deal. At this point, BYU could probably require Texas and OU to take the missionary discussions and they would agree to it.
Welcome to the BigXII, BYU!Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Not so fast:
http://espn.go.com/college-sports/st...-letter-big-12
Texas A&M says it has not sent a letter of withdrawal to the Big 12 Conference.
The brief statement by school spokesman Jason Cook comes a day after The New York Times said in a story posted on its Web site Monday night that university president R. Bowen Loftin sent a letter to Missouri chancellor and Big 12 board chairman Brady Deaton to inform the league it was leaving. The report cited two unidentified college officials with direct knowledge of the decision.

It was a phone call from A&M President Loftin to Brady Deaton at 8 p.m. last night about withdrawal. Not a letter. I was misinformed.Last edited by dabrockster; 08-30-2011, 07:44 AM.
