What kind of stupid reasoning is that? We both like BYU and they're clearly the best choice, but because we can't agree on who #2 is, we'll dump the best choice and take both of the others? wow. beyond stupid. Texas is dumb to want to bring UH up to P5 level. They're already getting hammered by Baylor and TCU in recruiting the last few years.Originally posted by lambdacoug View Post

I dunno. If back in 1994 someone would have predicted the following, I would not have believed any of it:Originally posted by Bo Diddley View PostThe more things change, the more they stay the same?
Nebraska and Oklahoma in different conferences
Texas and Texas A&M in different conferences
Missouri and Kansas in different conferences
BYU and Utah in different conferences“Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory.”

UT wants an UT Houston campus without all the political drama. That is the only reason they are being an UH cheerleader (publicly). I am guessing behind the scenes they are not so much of a fan: "Sorry UH... We tried everything we could to get you in but it just wasn't in the cards with everyone else. Bummer. We are still good on our expansion into H-Town, right?"Originally posted by BlueK View PostWhat kind of stupid reasoning is that? Big XII reasoningOriginally posted by BlueK View PostWhat kind of stupid reasoning is that?Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

Wasn't this the basic economical premise John Nash (A Beautiful Mind) won the Nobel for? So there is some validity if it were only the 2 big dogs barking at one another. What doesn't make much sense is why the other 8 schools would agree to a clearly inferior product. The other schools would presumably be smart enough to know that diluting their conference only empowers UT and OU and/or makes them easier picking when a better suitor (SEC) comes calling in the future.Originally posted by BlueK View PostWhat kind of stupid reasoning is that? Bowing to Texas demands has nearly destroyed this once great conference several times. Anyone not named Oklahoma and Texas does not have a guaranteed landing spot is the implosion actually arrives. They would be be wise to vote in a block to shift power away from Texas.

I find your lack of faith disturbing. I know with every fiber of my being that BYU is already in the Big 12.Originally posted by creekster View PostWell, I guess that BYU and Utah aren't technically in different conferences.“Not the victory but the action. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes.
